Located down by the marshy area. Sat outside because it was a nice afternoon. Very warm out but lots of trees on the deck so it made it bearable. I had the fried shrimp, which was very good. Even better was the broccoli casserole. I'd go back just for that. It was delicious. Servers were nice. I think the girl... More

Excellent! Visited around 6p on a Friday evening and it was already busy. We were seated immediately since we were a party of two. House salad dressing is amazing (apple vinaigrette?). Ordered hush puppies, seafood sampler (blackened) with candied carrots for a vegetable. My companion had a rib eye pork chop special. Both were outstanding. House bread basket was great... More

We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we went 2 times while we were visiting St. Augustine. The fresh seafood was wonderful.

Certainly not elegant, but modernized and truly done in the "down home" comfortable Florida Cracker style from years past. I have eaten at this restaurant for more than thirty years--beginning long before its latest refurbishment and update--and have never been disappointed. You have to be persistent--parking can be a problem and there's usually a considerable wait for a table--but it's... More

From the outside, this place looks like a run-down shack overlooking a beautiful marsh. The inside is a jungle of indoor plants, with outdoor seating on a deck that had trees growing up through the middle--very cool! The food was excellent, and our waiter had a great sense of humor. I highly recommend!

First, this place has an amazing atmosphere! However, our table was not in a great place. We were on the deck, in the back. No views, no air circulation due the walls surrounding us. There were fans that we wanted to turn on, but our server said that they didn't work. That was too bad. It was stifling! It was... More

First timer at this restaurant. Arrived around 6:15 and waited 45 minutes in the rain. Have I made a mistake?? The outside scenery is right out of the old south, complete with a wooden house on a marshy inlet with old crab traps and old timber. Inside was like a old southern museum. Lori was our server and provided complete... More

Loved the decor of the restaurant. Had to walk around to see it all before we left. Wish we had gotten there a bit earlier so we could have watched the sun set across the marsh. Food was good. We splurged on an "anniversary dinner" and got lobster. It wasn't bad, but bet there were other things on the menu... More

Went to Salt Water Cowboy's on a recommendation. The location is great and the atmosphere is awesome but the food is not worth the price. I had the blackened combo with a side salad and one of those gave me a powerful dose of Montezuma's revenge! The rest of our party was happy and healthy with their meals. The service,... More
