We were in Florida last month and we found Cowboy's Restaurant. It was a fun place to eat. The food was good and lots of it.

To be fair, my husband and I are becoming health nuts. SWC is not designed for health nuts. This constructive criticism will cover the quality of the meal and service. We had a last-minute dinner here on a Saturday night a few weeks ago. Sitting outside was supposed to be a 20 minute wait, it was only like 5. That's... More

This restaurant was an unexpected treat, recommended by a friend in DeLand. The location, both inside & outside, is visually appealing & eclectic. Our seafood & pork chop were even better. The waitstaff makes you feel like family. We will definitely stop here next winter.

The view is so special and serene over the marsh! Servers were young but enthusiastic and customer-oriented. Fish was fresh and tasty. Very much worth the drive out of town.

I was very disappointed. Atmosphere and view were fantastic, but food was not up to our expectations. Raw oysters were unbelievably small and fried clams tasted very fishy. Fried oysters and scallops were good. Excellent fish dip and fried bean appetizers. Baked potatoes was small and overdone.

We've been there twice now. Beautiful sunsets, cool atmosphere, o.k. food. It's too bad the food isn't above "just average" because we like the rest of it, a lot! My Mother had mahi mahi and said it was o.k., I had clam strips once which were about the same as I could buy frozen at the grocery store and heat... More

We all loved everything about Salt Water Cowboy's; service, atmosphere, food quality and price. I highly recommend the sea food over the barbecue, which makes sense. If you can, dine at sunset for a lovely view.

Intriguing surroundings, expansive verandah to accommodate guests' wait time. cabin-style, twig furnishings outdone the actual meal. Was not fond of the alligator appetizer nor the seafood platter which was too heavily breaded. Key lime pie was delicious. Servers were pleasant and attentive. Had difficulty with the hostess -- "what is a call ahead?", "why are reservations unheard of?", and "why... More

An out-of-the way place worth visiting. Food was good, portions were large, the service excellent, and prices reasonable. Take some time to look at the "decorations" which epitomize the character of this restaurant. You get the sense that you are part of the natural Florida environment.
