Great Food & Happy Hour!

Stopped by for happy hour. Sat at the bar & had the beer battered bangers & the Beer battered "Irish Egg" (see photo) - They were both to die for!!! Great batter crunch & perfectly cooked. Worth the trip for these alone. We took the fish & chips to go and they held up perfectly after the 10 min... read more

I really enjoyed this place. The staff was friendly and had an obvious appreciation for beer. A variety of real ales were available on tap. The menu was good, and not horrendously expensive. There are dishes on there that Americans are familiar with (such as a reuben sandwich), and some of that British Isles cuisine as well. The mood is... More

The burger was one of the best! Home made chips are great. Fish and chips were also good. Irish slaw came with the fish. Service is good. A pub vibe. Most entrees are under $15. A good beer selection. Free parking.

My wife and I have traveled to St. Augustine many times and have visited Barley Republic every time. We will continue to come to this restaurant/bar. It has a fantastic beer selection and the food is fun and very good. Best of all the staff is always very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. Last but not least their patio... More

Slow service, not many diners at 7pm, two people left before getting their entrees but not sure why. Over cooked chips, very thin fish.

My wife and I went here on a rave review from someone at my work. This place is a cottage-esque conversion like so many other restaurants in St. Augustine. My wife ordered Shepherds Pie (its an Irish Place) and I ordered Guinness Braised Beef Short Ribs. Both were amazing. The short ribs were honestly the most tender I have ever... More

The location was slightly off the beaten path so it was quieter. Ok food, small portions for price and lackluster presentation. Bangers and Mash not up to par.

On plus side, they had good raw oysters. Also, they had some irish drafts that are not frequently seen in other places. That is about it. The food was rather mediocre as well as the service. It is also overpriced.
