We visit St. Augustine at least once a year but have never tried the Barley. We had been planning on going to the Prince of Wales which is just down the street because I was craving some fish & chips. I think I'm always craving fish & chips. I must have been British/Irish in a previous life. There were two... More

This is a nice hidden gem, slightly off the main tourist area (Saint George St.) with a wonderfully diverse menu. I too had the shepherds pie and absolutely loved it. No skimping on the lamb or any of the other ingredients here. The fried shrimp were large and perfectly cooked without a lot of batter. Our party of 6 had... More

An Irish pub with indoor and outdoor seating in one of the small Spanish streets of Saint Augustine. Very friendly staff. Good beer selection. Outdoor seats in the sun. What a way to enjoy the afternoon. With, oh yes…. happy hour! They have a menu as well, but we saved our appetite for a “real diner”. If you want to... More

Still the Best Shepherds Pie Ever! It was so enticing that several of my other friends with me ordered it too! Plus the service is great.

Stopped in for bite & beverage based on good reviews, but ladies don't bother ‘cause you won't get served. Bartender said she'd be right with me, so I waited patiently while she cleaned glasses but she stopped only when a group walked in mins after me, then proceeded to serve all of them . When she finally came over she... More

We went here for an early lunch so we encountered no crowds. Service was friendly and prompt. We had yummy Bangers and Mash and a delicious chicken curry. Used a coupon for a generous and tasty portion of cranberry bread pudding for free.

Cold drinks and decent food for a great price! The steak was surprisingly tasty, even if it did have a little too much fat on it. The only downside was that the service was VERY slow. It took almost 45 minutes to get our food after ordering.

Two visits and I plan to go back . Irish themed but not the hokey leprechauns and clovers. The Food is decent and the beers fresh. Much better than some of the pretenders in the area.

Unfortunately, we didn't make the Thursday night seisuin (traditional Irish music get-together) but we were there for lunch and then some, on the Friday. We needed a place to work on our computers and the BR welcomed us. They have wifi and tables near electric outlets--a must for people trying to kill time and work online at the same time.... More
