We went to The Gourmet Hut for breakfast on the advice of our host and were pleased with the quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff and the general ambiance of the outdoor garden. Our iced coffee came from Crucial Coffee, a shop on the same property that seems to be directly related. It was excellent Arabica. The... More

We've been to the Gourmet Hut twice now and both times the food was excellent. It's mostly outdoor dining - there are only a couple of tables inside 'the hut,' but there's shady places and the owner even brought a fan to our table when I commented on the heat. Yes, they have cheap brown napkins that look like they... More

Wow, what a neat surprise. This restaurant makes you feel like you are eating in a Spanish garden. We had an early Saturday brunch, and the food and service were delightful. Go early to get a good shady spot!

Romantic garden seating with delicious gourmet food wonderful atmosphere and excellent service! My girlfriend and I made a 2 hour trip from Orlando just to have my birthday dinner here and it was more than worth it!

Stumbled across this gem while doing a ghost walk tour and was taken back by the charm of the intimate, table in the garden setting, so much so that we bailed on the tour in order to eat before they closed. Menu is on a chalkboard that changes daily with entrees averaging $30 and a domestic beer was $8, so... More

Living in St Augustine for many years my boyfriend and myself have tried almost every restaurant in town. We are always up for trying new places. We of course have our favorites but the other night decided to try this "restaurant". We have both worked in the restaurant industry and rarely complain about anything when we go out. This place... This place was recommended by the B & B we were staying at. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was really cool. Sat out side, enjoying the beautiful evening, and time with my spouse. Presentation of the food was perfect, and the quality was exceptional. Great place to eat for a reasonable price.

The first night we stumbled upon this restaurant we were intrigued by the beautiful setting. We spoke with the very nice older blond lady (obviously the owner) and she encouraged us to return the next day. It was beautiful weather and they had swordfish on the menu. The service was good, but a little surprised that the owner did not... More

This was our first time in St. Augustine and we spotted this cozy, secret garden restaurant on our way back to the hotel; the blackboard menu outside looked good and the young man (maybe the chef?) setting the tables was very friendly and happy to take down our details for a table at 8pm. Upon arrival, we were received by... More

Let me start by saying that we consider ourselves experienced diners and a local of St. Augustine as well. Last night's experience was so bad I now question Trip Advisor's validity for giving this restaurant a certificate. Our service was inexperienced to the point of humor, there is one menu on a board and service runs around sharing it, there... More
