If you are looking for authentic pizza that is quick and ice cold beer, this is the place for you. Though the inside seating is limited, seating outside is also available. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and while we chowed down only on pizza, there are also a number of other Italian dishes available.

Carmelo's is attached to an interesting small market at a gas station on a busy corner, so its not a place you might just stop at on a whim - but you should. There's take out and a nice dining area and some tables outside, all with the same menu. Pizza is outstanding, a moderately thin crust, lots of sauce,... More

We were recommended to this place by Lindsay & Kevin at Segs of St. Augustine (another must do). They said it was their local go-to for pizza. If locals go, I go!! It was SPECTACULAR!! We had gotten there late so seating wasn't a problem. Our waitress and the English gentleman were so nice, caring and the food - OMG.... More

This place is connected to a gas station and it's awesome! If you're patient enough, you can wait for a table inside with a waiter (it was cold the night we went.). Or you can order from the take-away area. It's the same menu. Fantastic pizzas. We ordered two and ended up taking half of each with us in a... More

When we moved here in June, our neighbor from New Jersey informed us we had to try Carmelo's at the gas station. After a horrible experience with the local Pizza Hut, we decided to give Carmelo's a try. They are located in a Shell Gas station, across the street from the police station. Parking is limited and during peak times... More

Sensational pizza served by hot waitresses make this a must go in St Augustine. Great variety, authentic NY style pizza and dishes. Either take out or sit down in the old mom and pop style restaurant is excellent. Really terrific staff and service and great food. An oddity in the tourist trap of a City. Try it you'll love it.

Closest you will get to NY style pizza in St. Augustine. Our favorite waiter is David--always a treat when he is working.

We arrived at 3:00 on Thursday and got the last table. Still received food in a timely manner and excellent taste. Can't wait to return.
