Staff are uppity, pertentious little snits!

Have been in St. Augustines for a few days. Been to many pubs, restuarants and other eateries-most were good and some were very good. The Floridian was a big disappointment - over rated and over priced. I did the "call ahead' seating or 6 PM on a Thursday night. When I arrived I gave my name... read more

Had to wait a few minutes before getting a table to decided to do so at the bar (small but with a decent selection of wines). I recommend coming for the food not for the actual location (nothing wrong with it just nothing to brag about). Having said that, very attentive service and very knowledgeable of the dishes on the... We took a weekend trip to Saint Augustine for valentines day, and my husband chose this location for Friday dinner. The small dining room was quaint and had interesting decor that lent to the ambiance. We shared the fried green tomato brushetta. We found that it needed just a pinch of salt to really bring out the flavor, and once... More

Visited for lunch. Four adults and four babies/toddlers. We had to wait about 30 mins but waited in back garden area which is very pretty. It's the seating area for their "sister" breakfast/lunch spot. We all loved our food. I had the cornbread panzanella salad and it was one of the best salads I've ever had! The pork sam which... I'll go ahead and be fair and tell you that my hubby didn't love it. He said his burger tasted "different". I got the Sunshine Salad and it was probably the best salad I've ever had. I have the take off the blue cheese (because frankly, yuck!) and it was delicious and sweet. The atmosphere was great, but we sat... More

So I have seen restaurants come and go here in St. Augustine for the 20 years I have been a resident here. But the Floridian is by far my favorite. Everything on the menu is unique and doesn’t disappoint. There are options for gluten free and also local fresh foods. My favorite dish- which I believe is seasonal is the... More

We were underwhelmed to say the least with this restaurant. The only way to describe it is that they are way too cool for school. While I appreciate the whole Gastropub type experience and the need to be "different" and "inventive" this fell just off the mark. I was going to go for the Tom Ka, not truly expecting a... More

Hi there, First of all, allow us to apologize for providing an experience that was less than satisfactory. It’s very rare that we provoke such ire, and we are truly sorry that we fell so short of your expectations. But as for why we are called “The Floridian”: We are called The Floridian because we source largely from Floridian farmers... More

Had an excellent lunch at The Floridian. The Green Tomato Bruschetta was excellent. The pork BBQ sandwich was also excellent. Service was fair. Our server should have been more attentive to keeping our drinks full. And for a small dining area, it was very noisy. The atmosphere could be greatly improved by adding a few soft material decorations to absorb... More

Several of us went for lunch here because of the glowing TA reviews. I had the shrimp and sausage pilau; nothing special. Two of us had the kitchen sink cobb salad and neither cared for it. Service was okay.

My boyfriend and I went to dinner last night at the Floridian. We had checked the website so that we could make a reservation for dinner. The website said no reservations accepted so we set out around early dinner to eat. We really wanted to try it out since it had great reviews on trip advisor and yelp. When we... More
