My favorite place in St. Augustine

You just can't go wrong here. You either have a veggie type of order, or a reagular meat type of order, and they are both excellent!!! The worst part of dining here is the parking, but if you know St. Augustine, then you are used to what you have to deal with. But as for the food, Best in... read more

The setting is lovely on a quiet street in the historic area. However, the food left a lot to be desired. The shrimp 'n grits were not the usual and would have fared better if they were. The dish was over spiced, few shrimp and polenta instead of grits. The fried green tomatoe appetizer was over breaded and rather tasteless.... More

Man the food here was great. Nice atmosphere where you can choose to sit indoors or out. Grab an outdoor table to people watch and soak up some Florida sun. Prices were great and you won't leave disappointed.

They say 3rd time is the charmed. Unfortunately, the 3rd time for us left us wondering, "what happened?!" It wasn't bad. In fact, it was good. It just wasn't the wonderful great restaurant we had experienced the first two times we had visited. Sadly disappointed.

My wife and I came to St. Augustine for the first time to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We got there early so we could not check in to our B & B (Bayfront Westcott, another review) so we decided to get lunch at The Floridian as soon as they opened. We had heard of this place from friends as... More

My wife and I were looking for a quaint and different ambiance of St. Augustine with a local light touch. We received this with The Floridian. Service was personable and food delicious. I recommend The Floridian to anyone who is looking for a refreshing change.

Small place very charming, good service and very good food. Not the usual touristy fare. We tried the fried green tomato bruschetta, which was excellent. We then shared an entrée which was shrimp and rice and sausage in a slightly spicy sauce. The overall flavor was good, however the pieces of sausage and there was a ton of sausage were... More

A great choice for those with veggies in the party. The freshly produced dishes were packed with flavour and just the right portion size as well. The acoustics inside were a little challenging the night we visited but that's a minor point really. It didn't detract from the service or dishes we ordered. Be warned, if you pick the humous... We always look forward to visiting the Floridian when we are in St. Augustine. This trip we have actually gone two days in a row to enjoy the varied offerings. Our absolute favorite this trip is the Southern Belle salad, which has peaches, candied pecans, and a drizzle of honey as well as a number of other tasty flavors. We... More
