We come from a long line of talented cooks who believe that the best food comes from using the freshest best ingredients available prepared with love and attention to detail. We pride ourselves in keeping alive the traditional "holiday foods" we grew up with that not many care to take the time & trouble to prepare from scratch in our busy modern world. Casa Benedetto's is open for lunch and dinner Monday thru Saturday We always have Sinatra singing in the background, fresh linens on the tables& candlelight in the evenings. Our staff is trained to make your visit a pleasant one and we strive to meet all special dietary needs or favorite dishes that may be missing from our menu that you desire Gluten free meals are always available. We are currently accepting cash or debit for payment in an effort to keep our prices competitive. We are closed on Sundays but do open for Easter Sunday and Mother's Day Sunday.

The setting is very nice, nice tablecloths and napkins. I had the eggplant parmesean and my husband had the chicken parm. Everything tasted the same, unfortunately. Several friends recommended this restaurant. The bread and brushetta was good. I liked the salad, it was fresh romaine lettuce, olives, onion slices and dressing. The prices were too high. Almost everything was $16.95... More

Came here for the grand opening and was very disappointed in the service & the staff & owners. Not only would they not stop bothering us by asking us to give them a good rating on here but they wanted all of us to fill out right then and there how their service was. I find that very rude and... More

Decided to go and see the new location of Casa Benedetto's in Vilano Beach last night. Just a minute across the Vilano bridge from downtown Saint Augustine. Nothing could really make the food any better.....as it has always been the best Italian Food in St. Augustine. But now with the beautiful new quaint location...it is like taking a step back... Went here with my wife, father, step-mother, and 5 year old son. The food and service was amazing. Everyone enjoyed the food and the waitress was extremely nice. The only critique I would provide was there was no kids menu, but was easily provided with meatballs and my son loved them. We will be back at this restaurant.

The ambiance comes with a great American success story starting circa 1920s when Jay Tarantino's(owner) family arrived from Sicily. The meal was prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients using family recipes going back generations. The server was skilled and knowledgeable and adapted to our family character with ease. My wife was visiting close friends in Sicily recently and allowed our... More

In less than a week we have eaten twice in the new Vilano Beach Casa Benedetto's. What a great location! And just a short drive from the island. The home style food is excellent as always and now there is PLENTY of room. If you haven't eaten there, you should treat yourself. This is Italian cooking at its best. My... More

We ate here on two different occasions . The place is very small. Holds 20+ people it's in a little a farm building. It's a family run business . A little lady does everything from cooking to waiting and serving you. She makes everything also runs specials. I love chicken piccata it was not on the menu and she made... More

We visited St Augustine last week and had really hoped to stop by for a nice lunch, based on all the wonderful reviews. We took the time to enter the address on the website into our GPS and drove quite a long way out of town, only to find a closed down building with some ladies who were cleaning. They... More

Have no idea why this place is rated as high as it is. Is the food good - yes. Is the owner personable - yes. And now - are the portions ridiculously large - yes. Is it relatively overpriced for Italian - yes, IMO. I wonder if the accolades are from local people who can go in for dinner and... More

We are confused about your comments as we have never had anyone complain that our portions are too large! Most folks, as you say are happy to have something left over for a snack or another meal, and of course many do clean their plates.Being Italian we believe in feeding people well. However we do allow guests with lighter appetites to... Actually, a nice tiny family run place. I ordered the Veal Parm, which menu stated mozzarella cheese (only). But they sprinkle other cheeses all over the dish & veal, way too cheesy for me. Still, very friendly, no problem swapping it out. Probably a 5 star for most people who love cheese everywhere.

Thank you for your input about the cheese situation. It is funny that you mention it as we have been having a running discussion about wether or not to cheese our dishes before leaving the kitchen, or to have the servers carry cheese with them. Most of the time we have people asking for more cheese before they even taste the...
