We come from a long line of talented cooks who believe that the best food comes from using the freshest best ingredients available prepared with love and attention to detail. We pride ourselves in keeping alive the traditional "holiday foods" we grew up with that not many care to take the time & trouble to prepare from scratch in our busy modern world. We went to Café Benedetto’s when it was on Anastasia Island, so we decided to cross the Vilano Bridge to their new location. What a charming facility with many more tables! Not pretentious, but “real” Sicilian, home-style cooking. The service is family friendly, like we come there every week. We needed another basket of bread to make sure it tasted... More

I recently enjoyed an excellent dinner (and dessert) at Benedetto's in Vilano Beach (just east of St. Augustine). My meal was excellent and clearly prepared by a skilled chef. The environment is relaxed (much like being invited to a country home in the old country) and the service was excellent and the people are very friendly (and knowledgable) about both... More

The wife and I were in St. Augustine again on April 10th 2015. I found Casa Benedito's here on Trip Advisor. We ate there for dinner and it was outstanding. I had the Sausage & Peppers on angel hair pasta and it was very good. The atmosphere is very homey. I told the wife it was like eating in someone's... More

If you are visiting Americas oldest city and want to get away from the traffic and crowds for a great, relaxing dinner, try this authentic Italian restaurant just across the Vilano Bridge, a block from the ocean. We arrived with our little Bichon and were greeted warmly and offered a table on their front patio. Our waiter, Anthony, took our... More

I need to qualify my remarks and preface them with the fact that my ex-in laws are straight off the boat from Sicily and my expectations are rather high in regards to authentic ethnic cooking. After reading reviews and hearing from a lot of locals about this place I was excited to try it. Overall I would have to say... More

We are very glad you enjoyed our orancini. We do make our fra diavlo dishes spicy, but of course everyone has a different palate and enjoys a different amount of spice. Had you asked your server would have been more than happy to bring you some extra crushed red pepper flakes so you could adjust it to your taste .It seems... More

I highly recommend Casa Benedetto's on Vilano Beach in St. Augustine, FL, with recipes that have been in the family for generations. Do not be deceived by the outside. Went there last night and had the veal parmesan. The cutlet was huge-the size of the plate, and oh so tender; I could cut it with a fork! All food is... More
