We're convinced this bistro has the best reuben on earth. We hit the jackpot on First Friday with the music, running of the bulls, and it seemed Bistro de Leon! Outstanding service, spectacular food! Highly recommended!

Bistro de Leon has a good reputation & was highly reccommended by friends but perhaps we went there on an " OFF Night " ,,, there was only one person serving for the entire restaurant & apparently only a single chef in the kitchen consequently service was extremely slow ,,, it took 25 minutes to get drinks & they were... Beautiful day out today, crisp, cool and not a cloud in the sky. Had the French onion soup to start, absolutely delicious. Food, service and atmosphere are fabulous. I highly recommend this place. I'm not really a big fan of French food but I have to say, excellent. I had a ham and cheese sandwich, ok so I don't know... More

my wife and I had lunch today in a superb French restaurant. We started with a cheese platter that was varied and delicious. It was accompanied by a pepper jelly that complimented the two soft cheeses. Blue cheese and goat cheese with olive oil and pesto made the platter complete. We then shared the best crab bisque we've had in... More

A very special find in a tourist city. Dinner was fabulous and service a delight. The appetizer of country pates and salami with cornice and mustard was excellent. Entrée consisted of a crepe filled with shrimps and bay scallops (version of St. Jacque) was the best I have had. My friend had the quenelle and loved it. The menu is... More

We live in California and my family is in the St. Augustine area. We love the Colonial quarter and old town!! Whenever we visit, Bistro de Leon is on our itinerary. Where else can you get real French food for a decent price?? AND they have Kronenbourg 1664 beer!! Authentic as it gets and soo good you'll want to stay... More

I went with my son to buy deserts to go. It took at least 10 minutes to get help. Servers just ignored us. Until a nice girl came to help us. I waited just because my son really wanted the tart

I recently had a great lunch here with friends. Service was awesome, not overbearing or pushy, very knowledgeable about the dishes we asked about, specials, etc down to each and every ingredient! The chef even came out and talked about one of his newest lunch entrees. The place is very clean and organized. The food came out with amazing presentation,... More

Stopped in St. Augustine on way back from the Keys. Decided to try the Bistro and it was great. Had table by window right on Cathedral Place. Great service and great food. The Chef asked us if we would try a new dessert he was working on and we did. Lavender crème brulee , it was delicious. We also took... More

We've been coming here for years and it's been going downhill. They used to have excellent food and service under the watchful eyes of the owners. The piles of excellent pastries in the entry are gone. A double espresso was more like a strong coffee with no crema. We also had omelets on this visit, the salmon was strong and... More
