Noticed mixed reviews on this site and that was our experience...overall, probably would not go back. My sense is the owner is not very customer oriented....far from what we have enjoyed in other small owner operated Bistros ( he is the chef but never saw him ....at most ten customers there at any given time while we were there....not like... Food very poor quality - "vegetable" soup flavored with bacon (?), fish served was not fit for pets, couldn't eat, dessert was less than expected. Pass this one up.

Poor service, just okay food. The cheese plate was good, but not great. Sandwhiches were a dissapointment. Slow to come out in an empty restuarant as well. Overall, not great.

Great food and the staff are friendly and efficient. At times food can be a little slow coming out of the kitchen so don't go if you're in a hurry. Also, stay away from the seafood crepe as it's probably the worst thing on the menu. Too bad being so close to the water they use canned seafood for the... More

From the moment my wife and I sat down I knew We would like this place from the staff. A small intimate bistro, that we were lucky to find seats in without a reservation, ON A SATURDAY NIGHT. We discovered new dishes, an impressive grilled Tuna and we received complimentary Potoge to experience more from the menu. Asked the host... More

The best French cuisine and the kindest chef. Aside from his amazing sandwich creation the potato salad was the best I've ever had.

Stopped in Christmas AM without a reservation as they were getting ready for service which began at Noon. Woman behind the counter (wish I'd gotten her name) was just so sweet and made me feel right at home. It was a set menu where you could select from each course and I loved every bite! Servers couldn't have been nicer... More

This is a wonderful restaurant in a downtown location. The fixed price menu is a terrific value, as are the large list of wines. The staff is caring and efficient. And the ambiance is pure France.

More of a brasserie than a bistro. We went on New Years Eve for their very pricey set menu. The food was amazingly good, and the service even on a high volume night very professional. The lobster bisque earned praise from the whole family. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked and deliciously tender, but the family member who had the... More

My friends and I (locals), who don’t get out much due to juggling our careers and kids, were so looking forward to a holiday dinner at Bistro de Leon. Our reservation was for 4 people at 6:30p this past Saturday night. Traffic getting into downtown was unusually insane so we were running a few minutes late. I called the restaurant... More
