Bistro de Leon prides itself on being authentic French food. We were not disappointed. We had delicious baguettes and "real" french toast. Well priced, friendly service, tasty food. Only knock: when I asked if I could get a side of fruit with my french toast, I was informed they don't "do" fruit with breakfast. Not sure if this is supposed... more

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here. We had the special which was a creamy, squash soup and it was very good, This was followed by the french version of shepards pie, made with pork in a wonderful sauce topped by creamy mashed potatos. Very large portions and a chocolate mousse for dessert made this lunch a good and yummy value. A... more

We visited the restaurant but we're a little early for dinner. After we did some sight seeing with the hostess's suggestions we returned to a warm, friendly meal made from local ingredients and prepared with lots of skill and love. The staff was wonderful-attentative and informative. I suggest you make reservations as we failed to get in 2 nights later.... more

I had my b-day dinner here 2 days ago and just finished my leftover seafood risotto now...it is still amazingly wonderful!! DH had lamb with mashed potatoes and left the plate clean enough to replate the next meal! We began our dining experience with a warm greeting from our waiter, Alexander (who is 1/2 French)...he had spoken to DH when... more

We had a late dinner last night at the Bistro, and truly fell in love with this restaurant. Being St. Augustine residents for the lst 25 years, we have always had restaurants that catered to the "Spanish flare". We were so excited going into the Bistro, Wow! The ambiance, the wine, but mostly the food. We tried the escargot, the... more

We arrived as a party of 4 on a Saturday at 5:15 with a reservation. Only 1 other party in the restaurant. Front sells desserts to go. Behind is seating for roughly 30 to 40 total. Very uncomfortable chairs. All 2 tops, pushed together for larger parties. The menu says expect a 30 minute wait for your food. The server... more

What an exquisite, authentic experience. From the unique and mouth watering offerings to the courteous and fun-spirited staff, we had an incredible experience. We suggest reservations, as we dropped in at 7:30 on a Saturday night, and had to wait about 30 minutes - but it was worth it!! Jean-Stephan and Valerie make all of their patrons enjoy their experience.... more

We understand that it takes a little while to prepare the food, but after an hour's wait for lunch, (yes, we are very patient people) we finally inquired. Oh, we were told, it takes time to prepare this lunch (Croque Monsieur and a salad) but it wouldn't be long. We would have had a better feeling about the place if... more
