I had catfish, shrimp, baked beans and coleslaw. It was all great! I tried my daughters chicken, fries and potato chips, it was all great food at a very reasonable price. The people were friendly and you get free refills on sweet tea. The only problem I had was I got full before I could try the awesome looking desserts.

Had a light lunch here after golf based on recommendation. It is just an old shack with two windows for food (one to order, one to pick up). I had shrimp cocktail and cheese grits, and both were great. The place was full of locals at 2pm. I'd certainly go back.

We have been comming here for a few years now. We always get their mullet. We took 3 this time and took them home. When we got home the fish had an overwelming smell of pepper and it smelled a little spoiled. We then inspected the fish and found that there were white little worms crawling in the fish "YUCK"... A splurge on a plate of fried seafood is a must in my book. Nothing better when prepared right with fresh wild caught fare. I drove the hour plus round trip to The Fish House with my mom to check it out. The place was buzzing at 5 in the afternoon. On a June day I expected it to be... More

We had scallops and shrimp. Both were fried with very thin batter. They were great. The okra was also very good.

My wife and I drove (05-31-14) twenty miles (one way) to try the food at this establishment due to the TripAdvisor rating...never again. I ordered the soggy crab/shrimp combo. Both the crab and shrimp were greasy and in need of a bath in Old Bay seasoning. The fries were under cooked (limp) and seemed to be prepared using 10w30 oil.... More

When visiting Ruskin you may miss out on some amazing seafood if you don't try The Fish House. When we first saw all the cars parked around this area we were confused as to what all the people were doing. Then we ate there and now know that this is a place we will return to every time we go... Renting a townhouse in Little Harbor, we drove by the Fish House several times before stopping on for lunch near the end of our trip. It was great - not gourmet dining, but very fresh, awesome service, and very good value. This place was crammed with locals eating there for lunch when we stopped by, and it was obvious that... More

The Fish House is not open everyday. The fish is fresh. And well prepared. This a very busy place so plan to wait. You can call in your order and pick up your food at the to go window. All seating is outside. May not be the best place to go if it is raining if you loan to dine... More
