Sorry to say we ate there tonight, food was old and salty. Tonight was their last night. They are closing their doors for food.
This restaurant is a nice experience. It reminds one of the stereotypical British Pub. Everyone was friendly, treating customers like old friends. I had the fish and chips (with a side of peas). The food is about what you would expect. Not highly special. However, the $ fish and chips cost me $$. It was a nice experience that I... More
We arrived on a Monday around 5:30PM. Love the decor and it is dark and quiet. Orders for 7 of us were taken. Loved the bangers and mash...very tasty. The fish and chips were just ok. Mostly heavy breading and a little bit of fish. Salads and vegetables are extra...not even a slice of tomato or anything on the plate.... More
What a nice surprise this place is...a little hidden gem in a mostly empty strip mall. Great decor like a British pub, very friendly staff, and the food was excellent. The duck and the pot roast were very tasty, and of course there is the Guiness! It's very cozy, and nobody rushes you...they make you feel right at home. We... More
If you like this cheese, then order the Chicken Breasts in Stilton sauce. Fantastic dinner last evening with my wife and the golf group, husbands and wives, and solos. I must make this sauce for our next chicken dish and filet.
We have been regulars at the Pig N Whistle since its first opening. I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal and I have eaten most things on the menu :-). We are Brits who live here all year round and know what it is to have a real pub type atmosphere (with great restaurant) where the... More
We decided to compare this Pub to the Ice house Pub in Punta Gorda and Ice House wins. We arrived early and went to get seated on the patio and we're greeted by bar smokers who had no interest in our presence or to go outside to blow smoke. We went inside and were seated. Despite someone saying they would... More
I usually don't write reviews but I had to reply to the YUCK!!! review because it hit home. My wife and I have been going to the Pig N Whistle for years and have never been disappointed. Quite the opposite, we have always been delighted. In fact, the Chicken Stilton is my favorite and the Lobster Bisque is my wife's... More
This place used to be wonderful. Not only do they use FAKE CRAB in the lobster bisque which used to be the best item on the menu, but the chicken stilton sauce is flavorless. The creme brulee came out to the table like scrambled eggs, and everyone else's dinners were mediocre at best. If they don't get a new chef... More
We decided against eating and just have a drink as the toilets smelt so bad and were in a terrible state, I believe that if you can't keep your toilets clean then probably your kitchen hygiene is the same. The food being turned out didn't look terribly appealing and the majority of diners left a reasonable amount of food on... More
Dear BeaBristol: In response to your review of the Pig 'N Whistle were shocked to read your review. If there was a problem, we wish you had of said something to the staff. Our bartender probably receives more positive reviews than most employees. Restrooms are cleaned everyday and we cannot control them all evening with so much use. We apologize... More
