why this place is one of my favorites - but I keep going back anyway. I so prefer it to the fancy crab place in town. This place is small, crowded, rushed, runs out of stuff, uses paper towels for napkins - well you get the picture. I've never had crab, so I can't speak to them. Chowders are excellent,... More

We were on our way home from Miami and decided to stop for lunch. What a pleasant surprise. We were seated outside on the porch after a short wait at a picnic style table setup. The place was packed at 2:30 on a Friday afternoon. (good sign) The staff were all very pleasant and knew their menu. The oysters and... More

This is old FL setting. It is partially hidden by trees and is an old house made into a restaurant - surely one of a kind. If you like an open area for eating, this is the place. There are picnic tables on decks, some covered area, and inside tables. And the food is wonderful even if it seems expensive.... More

Expects a lunch type menu but was very pricey and not really that great. Expected more for previous reviews. Probably won't go back. We've eaten at outdoor old types before, but nothing special.

We went there for the first time not even knowing how to eat crab! The staff was very friendly and helpful.the presentation was perfect for that "local" feel. Go casual and in a have fun state of mind.I would suggest you schedule plenty of time as the whole feel is as if you are on your own porch having a... More

We were eating at a place in Ft. Myers, just off the plane from snow country, and a local guy who travels a great deal said this place was the best seafood he ever had. So, of course, we had to check it out. Other reviews give you a sense of the place - and old wooden residence converted to... More

We discovered this outdoor "Old Florida " roadside fish house. The best grouper sandwich and seafood chowder EVER. It looks like a drive by but don't judge this book by it's cover. Can't wait to go back and if available try the tilefish.

I had 7 people I brought with me and the dude seating me and my family acted like he wanted me to leave. WOW never have I been so disappointed in a place to eat, no wonder when I ask the local people directions to the place no one ever heard of it. as soon as I ate I paid... More

This was our second time having lunch here and as usual it was very busy. Prompt greeting and seating indoors (it was rather cool to eat outdoors that day). We were seated at a large table for just the two of us and we offered to share if necessary. Soon another couple joined us and we ended up not only... More

Stopped by for a late lunch after a trip to Fisherman's Village and reading restaurant reviews for Punta Gorda. This place is a bit out of town but not too far off of 75. The restaurant is in what looks like an old house with a porch addition. It was full inside so we opted for a picnic table outside.... More
