This is the place for lunch... the menu has many items to choose from: hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, soups, salads. ... and really good bakery items. Coffee is good here, too.

The staff makes sure they tell you the business is for sale, to make up for the poor service. We ordered 2 black coffees and a small cake which took some time to prepare. There were three employees in the store and only one customer in ahead. If you are out of town or in a hurry this not 5he... More

Three of us had lunch at Pies & Plates. We had an Oriental Wrap, Chicken Pot Pie, and Hunter's Salad. We were all very happy with our food. The service taking orders is slow, in part because the gal taking orders was also answering the phone. But, once the order was placed the food was delivered very quickly. The food... More

Good food - a little pricey.. No waitress, order at counter, they deliver to your table.. Gooey cake is very good. I will go back..

The portions are small and prices way high for what you get. A sandwitch with one thin slice of meat is not what is expected! Don't bother!

After reading how wonderful the baked goods were we had to give them a try. I might as well just stopped at GFS (restaurant supplier). Exactly same stuff they "bake". This town needs a Real bakery. The atmosphere is nice, but this doesn't really "make" they just bake. Coffee was good though.

My husband and I stopped here for coffees and breakfast bagel. I ordered an omelette with tomatoes and mushrooms and my husband ordered an omelette with bacon and mushrooms. We were served our coffees and had to wait for what seemed like forever for the bagels to arrive. When they eventually arrived, they were dry and stale and they looked... More

On our first visit, my friends and I just popped in to browse the unique gift shop. We left with nearly every flavor of gooey butter cake that they make. Each flavor was better than the next. Several days later we went back for lunch. My only regret was that we did so on our last day in Punta Gorda.... More

This is no Starbucks. It is a unique coffee desert shop that you could easily miss. They have won many awards for their business and I think they deserve it.

Really enjoy this small little cafe, but I used to love when they had preparred food you could freeze to prepare the dinners later at home. I miss that. I also am frustrated because most of the cooking classes they offer are during the day but I work and can only take on the weekends.
