Stopped by Zapatas for dinner after seeing it right on US-1 between Port St Lucie and Fort Pierce. We had a great meal. The food was served very hot temperature wise and was also delightfully spicy hot. The place was clean and the service was friendly and prompt. There was a good variety on the menu and the servings were... More

Here's what was good about the experience: the staff was very friendly and the salsa that came with the chips was tasty - probably made on premises. What wasn't so good: The rest of the food - my burrito was bland. There was absolutely no seasoning in the sauce. I ended up just picking out the chicken so it wouldn't... More

I've been here probably twice or three times. Every time the food is either burnt or just mediocre. Not very impressed at all. I think I had a sangria and it was ok. That's about it. Staff sometimes appear nervous around customers ... I wonder if it's a language barrier or something. Not sure. But they will often smile and... More

While in the service, I was stationed in El Paso, Tex., and used to go to Juarez, Mexcio occasionally. There were elderly women there who sold tamales wrapped in corn husks out of wash tubs....but they were DELICIOUS!!! I've been looking for something just as good ever since, but it wasn't until we paid a visit to Zapata's that I... More

I am not a fan of Mexican food so when our group decided to have their monthly meeting here I was not too thrilled. I tried a lunch pairing which was ok - the fried beans just looked nasty so I didn't even try them. This all American gal favors all American fare.

Zapata's cafe offers a diverse menu and excellent service. The queso fundida appetizer was especially good as was the chimichanga grande.

My wife and I recently went to this restaurant for their Cinco De Mayo celebration. I am not usually a fan of Mexican cuisine but I was pleasantly surprised with what we found. The service was very good even thought it was fairly crowded for the celebration and the food was very tasty. Prices are very reasonable, and the Margaritas... More

Ok, so I have lived about two miles from this place for about two years and have never tried it. Last night my BF and I got to go and I was impressed! I got the taco salad and it was huge and super good, only $10. BF got chimmy changa and that was great as well. Food was ready... More
