Good service & food!

My husband & I came here for dinner while vacationing for the week. Service was good. We arrived around 6pm & were seated right away. We had the garlicky scallops for appetizer & each had the grilled pompano for dinner. Cooked well & the house salad was yummy. Pricey, but I do recommend it.

Last year, we came to this restaurant and had an excellent meal. This year, we already had eaten lots of fresh fish from several catches we made, so four of us ordered the baby back ribs and a hamburger. They were both average. The ribs were plentiful servings, however, they were not served very hot and the sauce had not... More

It just doesn't get much better than that. Perfectly prepared, well presented, fresh and extremely tasty. Had a 'small' slice of home made key lime pie for desert. Just so very good. A wonderful view over the water as the sun went down. I will be back when ever I'm in the area, so should you.

Hoped to get fresh seafood on the coast. Not very good at all. The scallops should probably have stayed in the freezer another year, maybe they would have been better. As for the " this and that platter" DONT DO THAT. My advise; if you are in oyster country and they don't serve raw oysters: LEAVE! How did this place... More

We had passed this restaurant many times during our trips to the Gulf and never stopped until today. So glad we did. We were seated in a lovely indoor porch overlooking the water and enjoyed crispy fried shrimp and dessert. Portions are plentiful. Service leisurely and unrushed. The menu included some wonderful salads and huge burgers in addition to seafood.... More

Took our family of 12 to dinner here. Made reservations the day of. Very accommodating and was very attentive to our group. The service was great and the food was very good. There was one particular lady (I think maybe one of the owners?) who went out of her way to tell us about her favorites dishes and the special... More

On a recent visit to Port St Joe, a place with few decent dining options, my wife and I had a very pleasant meal at the Sunset Coastal Grill. A lovely location by the water with great sunset viewing out the back, this is a very nice place to eat. Locally caught catch of the day dominates the menu. My... More

While spending 5 weeks in Cape San Blas, I kept hearing about this place as being the best seafood restaurant around. So I checked it out one evening for dinner and was completely disappointed. First, they tried to get me to sit at the bar because they "were short-staffed". On a Friday night. That's just poor planning. I can't sit... More

We always make at least one visit to Sunset Coastal Grill when vacationing on CSB. Beautiful location with well prepared food in a beautiful and casual setting. Since I like fishing more than I like eating most seafood, I will rely on the positive comments from my wife and family concerning the specialty fare. I was very surprised to be... More

We were here for Easter brunch from out of town. The buffet was expensive for what you received. And the quality of the food was poor. Tastes were generally not very good. The service was fine (it was a buffet, so it should have been). Great location and the building and decor were nice.
