I have heard people talking about Regan's for two years. Just never went there. Well, coming back from Panama City I finally pulled in to see what all the talk was about. Yes, I agree, people seemed friendly. Sat at a table. There were about 6 people at the bar. One of the men was talking so loudly you could... More

This is the place where the locals hang out. It is a small place and doesn't look like much from the outside, but once inside the staff is very inviting and friendly. The beers are cold and we got them quick. The owner was sitting at the bar and talked to us. the bartender was very nice and answered any... More

Best oysters around! The shrimp is great also. Pricey because it was May. Regan's is a bar with great oysters. You can drive farther but you won't get better oysters or shrimp.

Service & food not the best. Good place to hang out & enjoy cocktails....play some trivia. Food over-priced.

Having recently moved from the Florida Keys to Tallahassee we've been looking for great "peel & eats" - we'll we found them at Regan's. My dad came to visit from the northern tundra of Wisconsin & we spent the day at the Gulf. We came across Regan's & thought we'd give it a try. We were glad we did -... More

I stopped at Reagans on way to Appalachicola.about 15 yrs ago. Now it is an annual ritual. I have eaten raw oysters all my life. But none like these! Generally speaking, it takes a cracker & cocktail sauce as the ritualistic way in which to "properly" eat oysters. Not here. I had to wait for server to bring horsradish, so... More

We have had oysters up and down the Gulf Coast, and when we were staying in Mexico Beach, someone recommended Regan's as the best place in the area to go for oysters. We went there on a Friday afternoon and ordered just two dozen oysters and a couple of beers. The beer came relatively quickly, but the oysters, not so... More

We stopped for oysters and they were wonderful! Our friends had burgers and fried shrimp. Everything is cooked to order so plan on waiting. If you are looking for a fancy place this is not the place for you. It is a simple local oyster bar with pub food but really tasty.

Was looking for oysters being from Colorado. A Local told us about Regan's and he was right on. Yes it is a dive bar that needs some improvement. But we went there for the oysters and it was worth it. Some of the freshest oysters I have ever had. The bartender was friendly and we met some locals at the... More

Based on SPECIFIC recommendation to stop at Regan's for local fresh OYSTERS from Killer Seafood in Mexico Beach (and how OMG memorable the dinner was there:) surprised to see the multitude of poor reviews for Regan's. Come on...SERIOUSLY, it couldn't be all all that bad (?)...(now that I have had the SERIOUSLY Memorable Indian Pass Old Florida Experience). NEXT TIME,... More
