We recently visited Catches whilst staying in Port Richey on holiday. We sat outside on the terrace as it was still warm. The food and service here is brilliant! We were served by Angie and she was brilliant, ensuring that we had everything we needed and keeping our drinks topped up. We ordered the shrimp platter and a couple of... More

We went their this evening to celebrate two family birthdays. Having booked a table earlier in the week we were able to choose where we wanted to be seated. We liaised with staff as we wanted to provide balloons and table decorations to which the staff were more than helpful to accommodate having dropped of birthday cake, balloons and table... More

I took my mother there for Mother's Day, I had never been, and she had only been once a long time ago. The food was SO GOOD! I had fish and chips (the fish was beer battered swai), and it was prepared to perfection. Tender and flaky and the batter was crispy and not greasy at all. Mom had a... More

Went with a friend and at first seemed nice to sit on outside on the water. A storm was approaching and we moved to another inside seat, and when it started to rain, water was coming down through the roof on to us and table. Waitress stated that had been like that for quite some time. We moved a third... More

I called Catches and asked if it was OK to bring our own wine, and what the corkage fee was. The manager was consulted, and I was told that I was welcome to bring my wine, and there was no corkage fee. When we arrived, we were told that bringing our wine was not permitted law, then were told that... More

Beautiful location and restaurant. Second time here. Food is okay, Service still needs much improvement. Waitress seemed like a newbie, unsure of menu, etc. service was slow, food takes forever to arrive despite being not that crowded. My parents LOVE their fish/food. I could take it or leave it.

Despite the numerous negative reviews, our group of 4 had dinner at Catches last night celebrating a birthday. Lori, our server, was outstanding. Rose, being trained by Lori, was just as impressive. Both knew the menu and made great recommendations. After dinner, Lori welcomed our move out to the patio for dessert. The food was better than expected, but still... More

After reading recent reviews I was skeptical that of my favorite restaurants had gone down hill. I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled that it had actually gotten better. From the time we entered until the time we left the entire waitstaff was attentive and cheerful and eager to please. Our two waitresses were attentive helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. The... The food, service, and atmosphere are excellent. My husband and daughter love the Sword Fish and I have never had better scallops than I've had at Catches! Even though some items are a bit pricey, we still love going to Catches!
