What the heck?? I am very confused at the other reviews! I found this place deplorable! First of all-this is NOT river front dining! The entire seating area looks onto the marina which is in need of much repair and paint to the "garages". At the base of each pole is some yucky marine algae looking gunk that is not... more

Our first place to eat when we arrive in Daytona Beach, and our last night. We love the atmosphere, the people and especially the food. Our whole family highly recommends Boondocks. more

Went last night while on vacation - looking for local cuisine and atmosphere based on other recommendations here. Was very disappointed. After waiting about 45 mins for a table, we were buzzed and then told by a waitress where an open table was (was not escorted). The table was dirty (ketchup etc) and we had to get our own highchair.... more

We have dined at Boondocks since we started vacationing in the Daytona area 18 years ago. I love to eat, and this is by far the best place to eat in and around the Daytona area. Now that we live here, we make the 30 mile trip on a regular basis. Over the years the quality and style of food... more

What do you want when coming to Florida. Good food, on the water and a place that you can feel at home, that is , relaxed. The waitress's are all very friendly and people come back every year and are remembered as if they were there yesterday. Give it a try and I promise you will not be disappointed. more

If you are looking for caviar and champagne, this isn't it! But, if you are looking for just plain good seafood and an unique atmosphere, you must give Boondocks a visit. I love the "un-restaurant" atmosphere that we found this evening. The oysters on the half shell are large and fresh and the spicy steamed shrimp were my favorites. Good... more

My family (husband, 9 yr old son, 7 yrd old granddaughter and myself) ate at Boondocks in June. The kids made a poor selection. The hotdogs come on a deli type bun and the weiner is also very big(kids do not like this)also the shrimp basket had tails on it after the waitress said that they are like popcorn shrimp... more

Food is great, seafood very fresh, prices unbelievably reasonable. We were here the week of Mother's Day staying at the Shores hotel (where the food is very overrated and ridiculously expensive), so we asked some locals where to find good local food. One of the beach vendors suggested the Boondocks, fantastic find. We liked it so much we went the... more

Ultimate DIVE w/ excellent food. Just look at all the expensive cars in the lot! The food is excellent. The Grouper Reuben is a specialty. Pitchers of beer are reasonably priced. We will hit this place everytime we are in the area from now on (which is the Daytona 500, every year!). If you go to Ponce Inlet and are... more

Food is good but stick with the basics. Broiled, grilled or fried. No Specials. Had the seafood marinara. 2 lbs of pasta and 3 shrimp, 3 clams and 3 mussels. Also, if you get a skinny older blonde waitress, tell her every thing you want when she 1st comes to the table because once you give her one order, you don't... more
