A girls night out we decided to try the famous, much talked about Famous Philly's. It is a Sports bar, could use some updates...Loud, so if you want to talk forget it. We also thought the prices were high for what you got, and quite frankly not sure what everyone was raving about..Nothing special, reminded me of those steak ums...... More

best philly ever in my book as i've had quite a few from different places. most of the time they will drip all the way to my elbow since you cant put it down once you start eatin. i like them best during bikeweek as the patrons are better quality folks. staff is awesome with owner being great as well.... We have been coming here for years. We moved away, and went to eat with family. We were very disappointed, the cheese steaks had increased in price & decreased in portion. Ok maybe understandable, however the meat was very tough with large pieces you could not even chew. The amount of steak in a sandwich has decreased tremendously. We were... More

This is where we head when we want a genuine philly cheese steak sandwich. This is a "true" joint. Nothing to look at but real good cheesesteak.

We always go to Famous Philly's when we are in Daytona. They serve the best cheese steaks south of PA. Great portions and great prices. Beer is ice cold. As long as you don't mind a little "rustic" atmosphere this is a great place to eat.

Four of us who are from the Philly area saw an ad for this place and decided to give it a try. We were delighted to have a genuine Philly Cheesesteak outside of Philadelphia! We liked them so much we went back again four days later - probably would have gone back sooner but Thanksgiving dinner pushed it out a... More

They are quite proud of their Phillies because they are kind of pricey, but good. The wings are also very good here. The place is a dive, but proud of it. You can write on just about anything in the restaurant!

Very friendly from the minute you walk in the door. This is one of those local places that doesn't have the ambience, but the food wins! Quick service and the food was exceptional! Serving was bountiful and a great value. Will definitely return!

We were staying in New Smyrna on vacation and drove past Famous Philly's and decided to stop in. There was standing room only due to football game and the Philadelphia Eagles were playing. We ordered a 22" philly cheesesteak to go. Let me just say this was the best philly cheesesteak sandwich we have had. The servers were very courteous... More
