On March 25, 2014 we went with some friends to Shark's for fish dinner. The atmosphere is basic with limited seats. I ordered the Halibut and chips which I enjoyed. The others in our party ordered the Alaskan Pollock which was very tasty. Service was very good. We enjoyed our fish and chips dinner and will return for more the... More

We went there for lunch and got blackened fish, crab cakes, coconut shrimp, clam strips and chicken tenders. The coconut shrimp was probably the best! The chicken strips were a nice option for my son who is not a fan of seafood. The owner let us taste the New England clam chowder and Lobster Bisque. The Lobster Bisque was to... More

While staying in Punta Gorda, FL, my husband and I were looking for a reasonably priced, seafood restaurant, with good food. After reading the reviews, we decided to try the place. The restaurant is in a small strip store shopping area. We walked in and were seated right away. In fact, the waitress said "sit wherever you would like". It's... More

I am English and my parents had a fish and chips shop, so I think that I am qualified to know good seafood when I have it. Shark's Fish House ranks up there with the better places to eat seafood. My wife began with the clam chowder which she found very good. I had the lobster bisque. It was thick... More

We had looked forward to dining at Sharks since seeing a positive review in the local paper. Sadly we were very disappointed in our visit. I ordered lobster bisque which had a robust flavor but no sign of any lobster meat. My husband had the shrimp and clam platter and while the shrimp were good but not great the clams... More

Our friends are right, it's tasty and inexpensive, even the combination dinners are under $15, likely no threatened fish species on the menu. We liked the coconut shrimp, the crab cake was good sized and tasted more of crab than added seasoning. They also serve basa (you can't call it catfish), farm raised in SE Asia, but not oily or... Shark's is a habit for me. I have lunch there at least a couple of times a month. It's not easy to find for non-residents, but it's worth the effort for the fresh and well-prepared seafood.

This restaurant is fairly inexpensive & has nice servers, but the menu contains practically all fried food. I don't recommmend unless you are a fried fish & fried seafood junkie...many other places that are ALOT better

We were headed back to Port Charlotte from Naples around dinnertime and stumbled on this place purely by accident. We almost kept going after seeing the outside, but I looked it up on The internet and the reviews were encouraging. The fish and seasoned fries were very tasty, but everything was deep fried, a turn off in our health conscious... More
