We order pizza from Umberto's on Commercial once or twice a month. My husband likes sausage and mushrooms, and I like onions and mushrooms. Food had no taste, really blah. Had the Eggplant Parm which was supposed to be Chicken Parm. Either way, had no flavor whatsoever. The pasta that came with it was also tasteless. Don't waste $50.00.

Never have I had such a delicious dinner. This restaurant not onl serves pizza but has a full menu of pasta dishes etc. I had spaghetti and eggplant. The spaghetti was al dente and the eggplant was cubed and cooked to perfection. The dish was very flavorful it was served with a salad and garlic rolls. Will I go back... More

The minute we walked in to this unassuming little place, we felt like we were back in Italy. The aroma of garlic is just a hint of what is about to show up at the table--amazing garlic rolls fresh from the oven, dripping with butter and gobs of fresh garlic! The eggplant rollatini was excellent, the grilled chicken was tender... More

We've looked at Umberto's often, but never gone in. This year we took the plunge and are glad we did. Good pizza, entrees and fresh rolls, both plain and garlic. The garlic rolls can be a bit overpowering, but our garlic lovers were in heaven. Looking forward to returning next year.

Been to this restaurant every time we are in the area. Whether you are looking for a quick pizza or fine Italian dining this is the place. Italian menu and Pizzas are upper scale quality with average pricing. Other locations are in the area if you are not staying in Pompano Beach.

After reading some reviews here, we decided to go for pizza dinner. We had salad, mussle with mild sauce, haiwaii and the 4 sesons pizza. The salad had too much dressing, the mussle is a bit too dried, but 4 seasons pizza had a funny smell of old meat or something. 3 stars for service and decor, bu t for... More

I think that your best bet is Grandma's pizza. Order the Small or Medium but not the large square one. The square one had a thicker precooked crust that missed the mark for me.

I'm sure Umberto's was great when it opened several decades ago, when patrons were perhaps less concerned with high cholesterol, fat and salt content in their food. Umberto's does a few things right: the quasi-quaint Italian decor, which while a little overdone and gimmicky, does come across as what we've grown to consider 'typical Italian'. The food, while not bad,... More

Having passed this placed mucho times, we always thought it was just a pizza joint. Then we decided to visit and realized that it is a full scale Italian restaurant. How a name can be so misleading. The King ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and the Queen ordered the spaghetti and clams. Both meals came with a very fresh garden... More
