We went here for dinner with our kids and a newborn baby so we requested to sit outside and were a party of 7 not including the baby. First the owner yelled at us that we showed up with too many ppl. (he counted the 3 week old as an extra person) The waiter who was very nice apologized for... More

This Italian restaurant is one of the best in South Florida, had the suppa di mare and what a treat. The service is wonderful and the Italian garlic bread is outstanding, this place has been in business forever and yet the quality stands.

Had just arrived to Pompano and tried out this Italian restaurant recommended by a friend. We enjoyed the waiters and got prompt service. I had the gnocchi which was excellent but had veal with spaghetti which was quite plain, nothing special unfortunately. Enjoyed the decor as we sipped on some wine and finished our meal with a good expresso.

I have only eaten there once and probably won't go back. I thought the service was poor. We had a reservation and still waited 40 minutes to be seated. When the food finally came, my meal was not hot. Needless to say our evening at La Veranda was not a good experience. It's only fair to say that you should... More

This is the place for a comforting, yummy Italian meal when you've eaten all the seafood you can eat. Much cozier atmosphere than Gianni's up the street and a really cute courtyard. Service is a little eccentric but not annoying. The food was very good as were the prices.

Tuscany, South Philly, or NYC of old it "ain't"... but good enough food, hustling waiters with ( go figure) Latin accents, and big room pleasant atmosphere. 4 star atmosphere outside, 3 star inside, so,If the evening is right try to sit outside. Romantic it's not...but there is a certain something. I like the place!!!

Went last night. The food was good. Service was good. We sat outside in a lovely courtyard area. Unless you want to be poisoned by second hand smoke, I would advise not sitting outside (although this is the nicest place to sit and helps make this restaurant the good place it is). I could not enjoy being poisoned while paying... More

If weather permits you must dine in the courtyard, very relaxing and beautiful. All of the trees are lit up, Tony Bennett & Frank Sinatra playing in the background, friendly servers, wonderful food. One of our favorite spots to take out-of-town guests, very impressive.

A little old fashioned, but good, there is a very nice outdoor section betw the restaurant buildings which gets a great cross-breeze. EXCELLENT service (our server, Heath). We sat indoors and I recognized the scent of a great garlic bread immediately upon entry. It was as good as I thought; fresh garlic! We had the app of fried zucchini which... More
