My husband and I were looking for a unique dining experience and we found it here. This small family restaurant was cozy, welcoming and had great food. If you want some good authentic German food this place should not be missed.

The food was amazing! The portions are extremely generous so bring your appetite! The breakdown on dinner for two: Appetizer - Homemade Spaetzle.....so delicious! Cheesy and flavorful ..note..bring more people so you can order two appetizers...saw an order of the fresh pretzel with beer cheese dip .... it was an act of extreme willpower to not order Dinner: Saurbraten with... I'd been told about this small quaint restaurant by two different sets of friends and was pleasantly surprised to find such a nice comfort food environment so close to home. Had dinner there and enjoyed it thoroughly. They had a Groupon option and that was a bonus. Nice selection of appetizers and and entrees and side dishes were great. I've... More

We scouted Tripadvisor reviews looking for a non-chain breakfast restaurant in the Pompano Beach area. We found the Cypress Nook owned and operated by a true no-non-sense german proprietor. Many locals frequent the restaurant since it's off the beaten path. Good Bratwurst, Knockwurst and Polish sausages served with a side of mustard. Sit outside and enjoy the shade from the... More

This best kept gem of a German restaurant has authentic German-American breakfast, lunch and dinner. My family has been coming for 25+ years and we have never had anything less than a fantastic meal. The service is top notch with smiley faces and the hard working owners are always friendly & accommodating. Weekends may have a line….but the dining experience... More

We used to be locals, and The Nook was a regular on our dining out list for both weekend breakfast with the whole family and German fare at night for a family dinner or date night. Now, every trip back to Fort Lauderdale we have at least one meal here. Beware: this place is VERY SMALL and a wait is... More

We went on a Sunday morning around 10 for breakfast. It seems to be a popular place with locals. The restaurant is very small so seating is limited. We had to wait an hour before a table was available. We were seated at a small table for 2 in the middle of the restaurant by the kitchen door. The waitresses... More

We stopped by the Nook on our last day of a 4 day S.Florida mini vacation. Just a few hours to spare before check-in time we decided to enjoy our "last supper" here at the local specialty. what a way to top of the great adventures! The place has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We were seated immediately by a friendly,... More
