Excellent afternoon at Houston

I was in Pompano Beach and my husband and I decided to dine at Houston. Nice atmosphere, delicious food and excellent service. And with an amazing view.

Menu is yet simple and so spot on. Chicken salad dressing is to die for !! Spinach artichoke dip was a nice starter, kudos to fresh squeezed pink grapefruit juice!! Pairs well with my titos on the rocks

Great food, great environment, great service. A little bit more expensive than it should. Great varanda in front of the channel, so you can see the boats.

This place was great. We went with our 8 yr old. She had a mini filet and loved it. I had the ribs and have to say they were tender and awesome. I saw a lot of tables get the ribs. So decided to try them.. great views and outdoor seating. Wait was long but no shortage of getting a... More

Whichever Houston's restaurant you decide to go to, Pompano, Boca, Aventura, Gables or any of the Hillstone owned restaurants such as Rutherford Grill in Napa Valley you will not be disappointed. Hillstone has an impeccable formula for finding and hiring the best staff, training them better than anyone else, creating a small, simple menu that covers all the bases and... More

Our only hot dining tip for the Pompano Beach area was Houston's--don't miss, probably will be crowded but worth the wait. We tried a late lunch on a Monday, and it was still crowded but we got an outside table quickly on a warm sunny afternoon. We overlooked the intracoastal waterway and a parade of gleaming white pleasure boats, some... More

Well, it could have been an unpleasant experience because we had to wait to long for a table. The wait was handled so well by the staff that we laughed and smiled and thoroughly enjoyed the night! Megan, the manager, was new to the venue. She did a great job discussing the artwork and recommending appetizers. The spinach appetizer with... More

Long wait for mediocre food. Was absolutely not impressed with the service for the food. Will not return.

Have been waiting over an hour for a table. Kids getting very aincy. Guy with a large cabin cruiser pulls up to the dock, slips the maitre'D a sizeable denomination and viola, instant table. So be warned, unless you're planing to eat at 5, might want to look elsewhere.

I've been to Houston's many times. Its great food, great view, relatively friendly staff but a long long wait. Today it took almost two hours. On the positive side, we were extremely hungry when we got seated and the food tasted extra good. Actually Houston's food is consistent and very good. We shared an amazing Rib Eye Steak and an...
