Waited over an hour for two take out items. They overcharged us, only gave us five onion rings, forgot the tarter sauce, and the food was only okay. Go to Whale's Rib! Or somewhere even not that good over this place. Definitely never going again and telling friends.

Off the beaten track, we read about this place on trip advisor, so we sought it out. Teeny tiny restaurant, 5 tables & a bar so we had to wait a while but we'll worth the wait. We had conch bits for an appetizer which was really good. Special was hog fish. Wasn't familiar but was yummy. My husband had... More

The wife and I started with the cracked conch and did the grouper sandwich and it was AMAZING, the best I've had in years . The atmosphere is small and cozy so you feel like you are right at home, the service is awesome. If you are ever in pompano get to the fish shack, trust me you won't go... More

Nothing fancy about this place but the food is fresh and delicious. It's small with bar and 5 tables so be prepared to sit at the bar and talk with your neighbors. It reminds me of places you would find in Key West. Cozy, quaint and friendly. I hope they don't expand.

Had to hit a local "off the main road" restaurant - and boy am I glad we did. The only complaint I have is it doesn't have more than 6 or 7 tables, so we had to eat at the "bar" which actually was fine with me. The fresh fish of the day was tuna - so I opted for... More

Living in South Florida with a husband who actually catches fish, I am very spoiled when it comes to eating fish. Here at the Fish Shack, it is as though my husband or one of his buds just caught the fish and served it up. Not fancy and not large, so avoid the busy hours...show up around 4:30 or 5... More

This is a small little gem that serves excellent fresh fish. Sometimes you have to wait, but it's worth it.

I've lived in this area all of my life and never knew about this place. The food was incredibly fresh and tasty. We had the New England clam chowder , shrimp and scallop fritters as an appetizer and shared seafood combo as our main meal. Yum The staff is incredibly friendly accommodating. Highly recommend

We read the reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to give the Fish Shack a try while visiting the area. We had some trouble finding it, and were surprised to find that the wait was 45 minutes when we arrived. The restaurant is small and has only limited table space. Once our food arrived, it was clear that it had... More
