I was surprised that the inside looked so run down and the place just looked like it was almost ready to throw in the towel. The fried clams were not special in fact they tasted like they were fried in stale oil.

There are better places to seek your seafood in Pinellas County, this "joint" has been there for years but lack atmosphere and charm

I've been eating here for 3 decades but the dining room is dirty and smelly. Badly in need of a cleaning and updated resturant. when I went in the first thing I saw was an empty lobster tank with cloudy and dirty water in it. There was an old lingering odor in the room that got stuck to my clothes... More

Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined 49th Street in Pinellas Park to be a culinary destination, but twice over the last several days my bride and I found ourselves drawn to this boulevard of nondescript strip malls. Our first trip took us to Terra Mar Brazilian Steakhouse where we enjoyed a very flavorful and affordable churrascaria. As... More

Fried Whole Belly Clams were just as good as I get at home on Cape Cod in Mass. The staff was friendly and helpful. I also had the Fried Smelts. They were as good as I make at home. The Cole Slaw could use a little spicing up but was very fresh. they also make their own Tarter and Cocktail... More

Really great value for the money. The Clam Shack is off the beaten path and not easy to find. Once there, the seafood is quality! The nautical decor only enhances the dining experience. Some folks go to a restaurant for the ambiance. I prefer good food at reasonable prices. I'll revisit The Clam Shack.

WE HAVE EATEN THERE ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES. We love the clams and the fried shrimp! THE ATMOSPHERE IS GREAT. The owners operate the restaurant and are very friendly and engaging .My wife and I and My sister and friends just love this place , we go there everytime we are in St petersburg.

This place is gross , move on... It's on it's 3rd owner , so don't even bother reading older reviews. The place is really a bar that serves frozen greasy food, not shipped in from New England ..that's a laugh

I heard about Rosie's from a co-worker and wanted to try their "whole belly clams." We got there at about 2:00 on a Sunday afternoon and the place had only 1 table occupied and no one at the bar during football season. I thought this was a red flag. We ordered a couple of beers and 4 appetizers off the... More

We revisited "The Clam Shack" and felt like walking into a "Cheers" establishment. Wonderful New England Clam Chowder, crab cakes full of meat not filler, and a more-than-you-can-eat Famous Fisherman's Platter. Clam fritters are a MUST! Don't be fooled by the outside. Once inside, it's a fun atmosphere. We'll be back again!
