Went to Rosie's last night and ordered Captain's plate- the serving was small enough to pass for an appetizer- 5 small-medium shrimp, small filet of fish and 4 medium size sea scallops. My spouse and I have small appetites and usually order one dinner to share when we go out- glad we ordered separate dinners this time because, although the... More

We arrived around 6:30 Saturday evening. Rather gloomy bar - no customers there - reeking of cigarette smoke. Only two other tables occupied and one other party arrived while we were there. Atmosphere is pseudo Key West, with ethnic music prominent. Furniture rather dingy, set with Budweiser six pack cartons containing salt and pepper. Condiments that were brought with order... More

If you said no, get yourself in here! FRESHLY shucked oysters layered with bacon, fresh spinach and parm shavings. I didn't realize how noisy I was eating these delights until my husband commented that "I was getting a little loud". Sorry, babe--it just happened! Talk about a happy mouth! My beloved had the Captain's Platter and just as others have... More

If you're from New England and longing for some great fried whole belly clams This is the place! My husband grew up in MA and he said these were as good as any he had back home. Perfect light breading, huge portion and delicious. It was his birthday and we had a great time...My lobster role was perfect...prices reasonable.

I was surprised that the inside looked so run down and the place just looked like it was almost ready to throw in the towel. The fried clams were not special in fact they tasted like they were fried in stale oil.

There are better places to seek your seafood in Pinellas County, this "joint" has been there for years but lack atmosphere and charm

I've been eating here for 3 decades but the dining room is dirty and smelly. Badly in need of a cleaning and updated resturant. when I went in the first thing I saw was an empty lobster tank with cloudy and dirty water in it. There was an old lingering odor in the room that got stuck to my clothes... More

Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined 49th Street in Pinellas Park to be a culinary destination, but twice over the last several days my bride and I found ourselves drawn to this boulevard of nondescript strip malls. Our first trip took us to Terra Mar Brazilian Steakhouse where we enjoyed a very flavorful and affordable churrascaria. As... More

Fried Whole Belly Clams were just as good as I get at home on Cape Cod in Mass. The staff was friendly and helpful. I also had the Fried Smelts. They were as good as I make at home. The Cole Slaw could use a little spicing up but was very fresh. they also make their own Tarter and Cocktail... More

Really great value for the money. The Clam Shack is off the beaten path and not easy to find. Once there, the seafood is quality! The nautical decor only enhances the dining experience. Some folks go to a restaurant for the ambiance. I prefer good food at reasonable prices. I'll revisit The Clam Shack.
