Where is Willie Degel when you need him! I will be the first to admit the Cajun Café is the go to place for all things Cajun. Especially during crawfish season. They excel at the crawfish boil. And everyone raves about their bread pudding. But during a recent visit, our guest had never had shrimp creole asked for a sample.... More

With your eyes closed...heck, even with your eyes open you'd swear you were in Louisianna! This place is authentic! We sat out on the covered deck overlooking the river, drinking beer (Dixie and Abita) while watching the catfish swim by as we waited for our food to arrive. We had the boudin balls, gator sausage, crab cake and crawfish cornbread... More

If you like craw fish, then this is your place. I, on the other hand do not like it. But there are enough other items on the menu to choose from. My friend let me taste her gumbo and I thought my mouth was on fire. But it was very good. Location is back from road on water. Very nice.... More

A spiffy shack on the bayou, the Cafe has delicious etoufee, a nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Dress is very casual. There's outdoor covered seating, and indoor booths and tables. We had fried catfish w/ etoufee sauce, shrimp etoufee and one other spicey dish. Beware, if the menu says 'hot and spicey', it will be spicey. The fried catfish... More

If I were going to be executed, I would want the crawfish étouffée as my last meal. It is absolutely amazing. I also love the boiled crawfish. I only get there once a year and I always go with the same meal. I have tasted my husbands food and his is excelled to. If you love beer this is the... More

It had been a few years since we'd been here, and I was really looking forward to the crawfish etouffee. Hubby ordered shrimp etouffee. Both came out with two large scoops of white rice in the center of an oval dish with the crawfish/shrimp in the sauce on either side. Each plate had two slices of french bread. Considering that... From the road looks like a dump. but come on in for real authentic cajun food including boiled crawfish by the pound! Only ate lunch but it was good. We had a group of 10 and everyone seemed satisfied. Only negative was that some of the orders seemed to get 'lost' and 4 of the ten didn't get their foof... More
