We have eaten here occasionally for several years. One thing, if it says HOT then it is very HOT and I really like hot food. The only problem is that it is a bit pricey for what it is and unless you really like big crowds don't go there when they are having a crawfish or zydeco festival.

I grew up eating cajun food and tried this joint 6 months ago. Wasn't impressed but thought I would give it another try. Sat down and asked what beers were on tap. Server says he is too new to remember for me to get up and go read the board. He also said there were bottled beers just beside the... More

On the way to a happy hour close to the beach we saw the sign for Cajun Café saying it had 15 local beers on tap so decided to gave it a try. Left full to the gills after having dinner and desert. This place is just what you want in a dining experience, great service, great food, and reasonable... More

We've lived near this place for 10+ years and have eaten here about 4 times over the years. I've never had a great experience and I'm not sure why we keep returning. The place is a shack and I think it's intentionally supposed to look run down. The interior is pretty much the same. It's not very welcoming. The people... More

We enjoyed sitting out on the deck by the water. The fried okra was a good starter. I thought the gumbo was tasty. Our table also tried the fried meatloaf and jambalaya. The food was all good. The service was ok. Luckily he brought a pitcher of water so we had drinks. We waited awhile for the food. It was... More

We had seen this restaurant and had wondered aloud if it was any good. Today we went for lunch and it was nothing special and maybe a bit over priced. If the food had been more than average we would go back but this is a one time stop for us

Decided to drive to the Cajun Cafe for lunch. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was good but pricey ($50 for the two of us for lunch). The shade screens kept us cool in Florida's June weather but greatly decreased the view of the water and the outdoor atmosphere. I had the crab cakes and had to bring... More

Everything I have had here is excellent. The po'boys are terrific, as is the dirty rice. We have to eat here at least once every time we are in the area. The atmosphere is funky but pleasant. While not cheap, you can tell that the ingredients are quality. And we are from Chicago so the prices are line.

My wife was born in New Orleans and lived there the first 14 years of her life. We lived there for several years while working at Tulane. It is truly difficult to find food that is not a "fast food" version of some of the best dishes from the traditional Cajun Louisiana roots of this area. The food very good... More

We head over to Reddington Beach when our family flys in. Always new places to try. We visited the Cajun Cafe and had great food with an abundance of flavors. The place looks like a dive but clean and friendly. The only downside is that they were out of many craft and specialty beers.
