I have passed this place so many times but never stopped. Finally we decided to do lunch and happen to be in the area so we stopped in. Of course we checked on trip advisor first and saw the good rating. We shared the crawfish cornbread and fried green tomatoes. For the main course I had the crab cakes which... More

Understated, yes, but sitting on the porch at Cajun Cafe and watching the sunset is a lot like turning back the clock and going back to a time when things were simple, the food was home-cooked and delicious, and service came with a smile that was genuine. That's what our server, Josh, delivered last Saturday, along with Cajun dishes that... More

Love this cajun cafe...! The food is great (cannot miss the bread pudding), excellent selection of craft beers, good service and NO screaming children! It's a win - win situation.. ☺

Even the grandkids like this food. Warm, hearty and plenty of spice. Our table had the Jambalaya, Crawfish Cornbread, Creole Gumbo, Crab Cakes, and Shrimp. Food was filling and the setting was on a bayou in the Bardmoor area. While eating a boat approached and pulled up a filled crabtrap They separated those too small and moved on with a... More

We went to the Cajun Café on the Bayou for my birthday. It's been a long time since I've been here, before the current husband and wife owned it. Right on a real Bayou, and the décor made me think of a shack and it's not made to look this way. Wall A/C units don't properly cool the inside. It's... More

We dine here at least once a month and this is by far our favorite casual dining restaurant. The Crawfish Étouffée is outstanding (in fact, whenever we are in New Orleans or somewhere in Louisiana, we miss their Étouffée) and the Crawfish Cornbread is to die for. It's a little spendy but absolutely worth it. My favorite part about this... More

We have eaten here occasionally for several years. One thing, if it says HOT then it is very HOT and I really like hot food. The only problem is that it is a bit pricey for what it is and unless you really like big crowds don't go there when they are having a crawfish or zydeco festival.

I grew up eating cajun food and tried this joint 6 months ago. Wasn't impressed but thought I would give it another try. Sat down and asked what beers were on tap. Server says he is too new to remember for me to get up and go read the board. He also said there were bottled beers just beside the... More

On the way to a happy hour close to the beach we saw the sign for Cajun Café saying it had 15 local beers on tap so decided to gave it a try. Left full to the gills after having dinner and desert. This place is just what you want in a dining experience, great service, great food, and reasonable... More
