Good old fashioned Shrimp basket!

Stopped in for a late lunch while waiting for our beach house to be cleaned. Quiet, dark restaurant at midday with great waitstaff!

No music playing and it was very run down inside and worn out. The wait staff was arguing in front of the entire restaurant and only one cook was working because he "hadn't called for help yet." The food was decent, not worth the price paid; everything was very bland with no flavor. The atmosphere created by the people working... More

While my husband liked it here, it was too crowded and too noisy for me. Wait staff kept bumping into my purse that was hanging on the back of my chair. It's obviously a popular place, but not my cup of tea. I didn't find the food extra ordinary but maybe I was just burned out on seafood at the... More

This place was so special to us. We were eating there on a Friday which made it more special. Friday and Saturdays they have Bluegrass Music that starts around 6/6:30 pm. The place just takes ya back in time when America was simple. The food was mostly deep fried seafood (Oysters, mullet, scallops etc) and of course burgers, fried fish, hush... More

We finally got to the Original Pointe when we spent a week with friends at Navarre Beach. I had a great grilled Amberjack filet and the appetizer - complimentary tuna spread - was fantastic. This is admittedly an old time, good old boy place, so don't expect glistening accoutrements. If you like good food, however, come on down!

Being going to the Original Point for years. If you are looking for a fresh modern décor....don't go here. This is an old restaurant with a bar and great bluegrass music on the weekends. Food is good and the folks the run the restaurant bend over backwards to ensure you have a great time. We got the fried seafood platter... More

We've been going to The Point for 30+ years, usually on Fri. or Sat. night. The food is always very good, and prices are reasonable. On the regular menu, our favorite is lemon grilled tilapia. There are always great specials listed on a whiteboard each day as well. And, the bluegrass band, Bubba and Them, are amazing! We're from Wisconsin,... More

We sat at the bar, Mo gave us gr8 service and we enjoyed the Bluegrass music. Food was ho-hum. Soft shell crab lacked seasoning in the batter and tasted very fishy- have had better. Shrimp salad was ok, nothing to write home about. This place has been around a long time, have had better food over the years

Went here several times during our staya and will be back. Wonderful food. Always very fresh and you can't beat the value. Get the scallops grilled with lemon butter and definitely the gouda cheese grits!

We had large order bay scallops on special. Cooked well, generous portion, great price. Gouda grits always great. Slaw and hush puppies good. Server Kimmie was friendly, efficient and made our dinner great.
