The building looks the same as it did when we ate here in the 70's. A good local restaurant. Prices are moderate. The lunch specials are $5.00. You are given a good portion for the price. My husband had a grouper sandwich and said it was pretty good. French fry's were ok nothing special. I had the lunch special consisting... More

The Original Point has some of the best seafood on Perdido Key! They used to be the "big boy" on the block, but after Ivan and the BP spill, their normal business seems to have drifted away. I wasn't even sure they were still open, and was VERY pleasantly surprised when I walked in as the sole client, and was... More

Ok, so the restaurant seems quite dilapidated and completely in need of renovation but the food is really good. We had fried green tomatoes, catfish, slaw & crab cake. They have live music but we missed out on that. I really wanted to go back and try something else.

This restaurant has been in operation since the 70,s and the decor shows it. The food was ok and the service was good. They were very helpful with recommendations to other points of interest. We would not go back but if you are looking fried fish it would be a good choice. The gumbo was the best thing we had.

Locals restaurant located in a noncommercial neighborhood. Decor is a bit dated. Good, fresh food. A bit lower priced than other restaurants on the water. Service was friendly and attentive.

Our group of eight ate at the Original Point. It was about 20 years ago when I last ate there. The food is fried seafood (grilled is available) and was fresh. The server was prompt, the prices were fair. But, it took a long time from when the order was taken until the food was served. But, we ate out... More

Does not look like much from the outside or inside but food is great and reasonable. The point platter is outstanding. We had a few in our group that don't like seafood. They had catfish and chicken fingers that they thought were great. I will definitely return.

Been coming to the Point for years! at one "point" it seemed like they were going out of business - but I guess they were re-gathering. Now they have a $5 lunch to bring folks in. Once there, you'll enjoy the Royal Reds, the foot stomping fri/sat night show, and friendly staff.

Googlemap this little dive and don't stop - even when you think you're lost. This little understated gem has AMAZING food!! From the outside you'll have second thoughts about stopping and the inside is not much better, but it's clean and the food awesome. We heard this is where the locals eat and I can see why. My husband had... More

Eating at the point is a lot like mcdonalds, yOu always know what you're going to get. I've been eating there for over 20 years, and have never been disappointed. The proprietor, David lively, runs his kitchen with very little change in the menu. Although the menu is extensive, I seem to always order the same things. My favorites are... More
