We dined here on the recommendation of our meeting planner - she said its some of the best seafood in PNS. We agree, especially the grouper and oysters. We enjoyed the atmosphere - basically beach front bar, with large doses of happy eaters. I can imagine where on a big game day, 'things' can get really noisy and rowdy. this... more

I visited this place with my friends and it has really great ambiance. Even during low season and at a late lunch hour, the place was nearly full. We shared four different appetizers, 2 dozens of oysters, King shrimps and nachos. The Oysters and King shrimp was phenomenal, but i wouldn't order the nachos again... not that they weren't good,... more

Peg Leg's was absolutely amazing. My family and I had wonderful food and wonderful service. Definitely worth the long wait and once we got seated I could understand completely why the wait was so long. I had the raw oysters and stuffed grouper- one of the best dishes I have ever had! The only complaint I can make is about... more

Having grown up in a tourist town myself, I feel that sometimes certain restaurants get such an overblown reputation that people just automatically go to them and stand in line for an inordinate amount of time because they think that's what they are suppose to do. Having read some earlier reviews for Peg Leg Pete's, I was curious to try... more

If you are staying at the beach, this is a novel place to dine. Otherwise, it is kind of a pain to drive to with the pedestrians and beach traffic. And frankly, not really worth the trouble. I guess if you like beer, it is an ok bar. They can't make mixed drinks (gross margaritas!). The food is ok for... more

We visited Peg Leg Pete's twice during our short trip to Pensacola Beach. The first night we ate in the dining room. I had the grouper sandwich (good) and my husband had a seafood sampler type dish: shrimp, grouper, scallops. He enjoyed the scallops the most. We arrived around 5:30 and had about a 30 minute wait. When we were... more

We ate at Peg Leg Pete's three times during our vacation. We had great meals all three times. Healthy menu items available unlike some of the nearby restaurants that offer only fried foods. We tried crab, fish, scallops, and grilled chicken. Kids menu was priced right too. more

This is one of the most popular tourist places to eat in Pensacola. Really good food and fun atmosphere. But be sure to try it at lunch time, rather than dinner. Long waits for dinner. My oyster sampler had very small oysters, which I complained to the manager, and he promptly removed them from my bill. more

It's not cheap, but it's pretty good. I had the Mixed Grill which is grilled shrimp, fish and scallations with sides. My husband had the crab stuffed flounder with sides. These meals are about $19 each and are good seafood. We ate there twice and each time ordered a pitcher of beer for about $10. I recommended eating under the... more
