Previously did fine with lunch and the deep fat fried fare. Definitely a good local greasy spoon with a lot of character. For breakfast, stick with the pancakes and French toast as recommended by others. The steak, while generous and render, was freezer burn bloody tasting despite the good seasoning on the outside. Horrible approaching rancid taste that will be... More

I have seen CJ's for years and always just judged a book by its cover. It doesn't look horrible, it just isn't inviting. After reading some reviews I went there this morning and man was I surprised. It is truly a diamond in the rough. Food was great, staff was very nice, and the hollandaise sauce is amazing. Don't judge... More

We were scheduled to be in Pensacola one day so I googled "best breakfast" and found CJ's. It was very good. I had the french toast. Others at my table ordered an omelette (huge), pancakes (big and fluffy), and breakfast basics. We all cleaned our plates.

Wow! Great home cooked food. Had the catfish basket, perfectly cooked and the homemade slaw was to die for! The special, chicken and pasta looked great as well. Each order cooked your style, will come back here to try others.

Been eating breakfast and lunch at CJ's for years. Never disappointed. Returning from the VA with my wife, yesterday, had breakfast in mind and went to CJ's. Aroma reminded me of many a wonderful grill both north and south. Small and off the the direct route to the beaches, it's only 5 minutes from downtown. My eggs etc, basic breakfast,... More

I have driven by the place several times over the years an always found the parking lot to be full. So today we stopped in and were treated to a very nice home like 60ish kind of place the food was great and our waitress, Taylor was wonderful. The prices were good two people for $ 20.94, and everything was... More

We saw a lot of good reviews, and so we gave it a try and were pretty disappointed. The crab cakes were bland and full of shells, and the French dip was very greasy. i suppose I could go back to try their breakfast, but their lunch left much to be desired.

We had breakfast there twice while we were staying at NAS Pensacola. I had CJ's New Orleans Napoleon, and their eggs benedict with smoked salmon. Two Great meals served with pride.( I enjoy eating at the small local cafe's) Service was prompt and friendly. We can't wait to eat there next year.

The wife and I go here a couple times a month. The menu is a good mix of breakfast and lunch and while the wife tries out various items I always get the Philly French dip. The au jus is perfect and the meat peppers and onions just fall apart in your mouth. Definitely my favorite dive in Pensacola

I would say Go, the food was great, my family had the Salmon eggs Benedict, pork chop, chicken fingers, country fried steak and shrimp po-boy. We will be going back. There was a Bentley in the parking lot, figured they had to have been there before. Good service too.
