Without a doubt, the best breakfast in Pensacola ... sit at the bar and watch the ladies cook up your b'fast ... I was told about this place buy an old guy (a little older than me) I sat next to at Jaco's ... he said "go early and sit at the bar" ... I asked "how early?" and he... More

Years prior to moving from Panama City to Pensacola, business brought me to the city and to a morning ritual at the Coffee Cup. One of the best breakfast meals I've ever had, no matter what choices I made. Fresh, hot, and a bargin. Coffee of course, comes to the table before your seat is warm The wait staff knows... More

We use to stop her for their great breakfast and their famous Nassau Grits until one day when we were seated in the back corner and my wife tried to straighten a crooked picture on the wall next to our table, And when she reached up to move it 20 or more Cockroaches that were hiding behind it scurried out... My wife and I are big fans of eating breakfast out. I searched the internet for the best breakfast places in Pensacola. Coffee Cup came up as a place that locals went to eat. Since I like to go where the locals go we decided to give it a try. The diner is a throw back to another era. The... More

This is definitely an "old school" place but the food is good and the service is good as well. Prices are reasonable. It can be busy at times (breakfast) but wait times were not too long. Will definitely have to try again for lunch when in town.

We always are looking for non-chain type breakfast places and luckily we found the Coffee Cup Restaurant. It is an older restaurant but seems to be a favorite of locals. It is almost always packed. We chose to sit at the bar and were quickly greeted and our orders taken. We both ordered omelets and found them to be fluffy... More

We visit from England every year and this place had been recommended by my father in law. First impressions were good when as we arrived, we overheard a leaving customer say it was the best breakfast he'd ever eaten. We sat in a window booth and enjoyed the surroundings for the first few minutes; this place is a piece of... More

Ah The Coffee Cup. A Pensacola landmark and local favorite of some of the true Pensacolians. However without it's history and if it had to open as a new resturant or in another city it would fail quickly. Bathrooms full of crodded plumbing, stained fictures and general nastyness. Not because it is old but that is has seldom been cleaned.... More

I have several personal quests, one is for the best biscuits and gravy. When ever I find this on a breakfast menu, there is a good chance I'll try it. So far, the Coffee Cup wins. The restaurant has been opened since the late 1940's and, with the exception of photos on the wall, hasn't changed much (It even includes... More
