Best breakfast we've had!

2 years ago, we were on our way to Disneyworld and got a recommendation for Coffee Cup. We've been raving about it ever since, so this time, on our way home to Texas from Destin, we left the resort early and went a different way just so we could eat at Coffee Cup again. The breakfast here is... read more

Take a step back in time when life wasn't so crazy and everyone in such a rush. The Coffee Cup is a historic piece of Pensacola. Country cooking at it's best - the grits and biscuits are better than you will find anywhere. The gravy is also something to write home about (remember when writing letters was the thing to... More

Delicious breakfast foods and affordable prices; a true local's place to meet your friends or conduct business. Everyone is friendly and it is the only restaurant I have been to that makes tomato gravy the way my father did! A local institution in Pensacola for many years.

My Aunt and Uncle started this restaurant in the late 40's and sold it in 1973. It has not changed inside since they sold it, and the food is excellent. i made a special trip from Tennessee to Pensacola with this being 1 of the 3 things on my list to do. My omelet and grits were fabulous...I only wish... More

The omelettes here are fantastic. Probably some of the best I've ever eaten. The ambience is early diner, but it is certainly entertaining as are many of the locals that eat there often. The waitresses are fun! The potatoes were great, the toast was good. The coffee could've been a little stronger, but you can't beat this place for breakfast.

A neighborhood place, full of local regulars as well as vacationers. The wait staff is attentive, the food is good, and the price is good as well. Diner atmosphere, down home feeling, bottomless coffee, what more can you ask for?

Best breakfast in the Pensacola area. Nothing fancy, just consistently good simple breakfast fare. Best grits in town. They've had the same menu for years and years, the place looks the same as it did when it opened, hope they don't ever change a thing. You're treated the same whether you're a tourist or local (I've been both!). For tourists,... More

This is a typical 40s diner. They have lunch specials that include meat and veggies. They also have a veggie plate that is very good. Breakfast is excellent here as well. Do not expect the interior to wow you. I assume that very little has changed in the almost 70 years of operation. I have tried almost everything on the... More

This is a landmark restaurant in Pensacola. Nothing has changed since the last time we ate there 10 years ago. Great coffee, eggs, hash and the Nassau grits are fabulous! A must!!!

The last time I went to this classic Pensacola Southern diner was two decades ago. When I returned to Pensacola and stopped in for breakfast, it looked virtually unchanged! And I love that! The waitresses appear to have been schooled by Flo ("Kiss My Grits!") of the 1970s sitcom "Alice." The biscuits are to die for. So are the grits.... More
