Other restaurants in Pensacola claim they have great steaks - like McGuire's. Well McGuire's hamburgers are great because they're made of chopped steak...but Mesquite Charlie's has MUCH better steaks. (I grew up on the great steaks of South Dakota... husband and i go once a week. best steak. order the ribeye. tender and flavorful.the salad bar is outstanding.for twenty dollars you cant go to win dixie and get a steak, salad, potato, and beans for that.we will be there friday cant wait!!!!!! more

We had eaten here a few years ago, the food was delicious, steaks tender, service exceptional. Today, we took a guest for his birthday, thinking all would be great. NOT! Beware of this eatery; this establishment has gone down, curtain rods missing/mismatched, bathroom doors crashed in, filthy dirty, no smiles on waiters'/waitress' faces. Fabulous Steaks!! Haven't been in a few years, but stopped in on our way to Disney World this month--the meal was so good we stopped in on our way back home, too. My husband has a very ridgid schedule for eating (hypoglycemia) but held out to get a good steak. more

We hadn't been in many years and thought our 15 year old son would enjoy the unique setting at Mesquite Charlie's. What a mistake! I can say nothing good about our recent visit. We will definitely NOT be going back EVER. It was expensive, the steaks were poor quality, the waiter rude, slow and very unprofessional and the salad bar... more

Must be under new management. We went there last week and had the worst steak I ever ate. I ordered a filet and it was so tough I couldn't eat it. The garlic mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes and couldn't eat them either. Probably won't be going back. more

Wow! Now that's how steak should be done! I was so pleased and I had a "happy mouth" that smiled for several hours after enjoying what I consider to be the best steak I've ever had.
