We are beer nerds and were directed to Hopjack's by a microbrew website. And yes, it has a ton of microbrews from all over at very reasonable prices. But we didn't realize how good the food would be--outstanding frites served in a greasy paper cone inside a pint glass, and excellent pizza with innovative toppings. We went one night early... More

The beer selection at the downtown location is stellar. They have 112 taps to choose from plus 80+ bottle selections. The food here is mediocre and the service lacks as well if you aren't seated at the bar. Sundays are a great time to go because taps are 1/2 off. The fries, Brie dip, and pita folds are pretty much... More

This was my 2nd visit. Both times we have had terrible service. Tonight my daughter and I arrived before the rest of our party. We sat for 10 minutes before we were ever acknowledged. We ordered fries before the rest of the family arrived, they were eventually plopped on the table. We had no napkins, silverware or plates. The sauce... More

Our group of 4 split 2 pizzas. One was a traditional margherita, the other was a buffalo chicken pizza. Both were enjoyed. This place also has a terrific beer menu with lots of great microbrews from around the country. Ambiance could best be described as "cavernous" but hey it's a pizza place, not supposed to look like someone's dining room.

We've been to both the downtown location and the one on Cervantes. Both have delicious pizza (especially the white pizza and the butcher's block) and very friendly service, but the prize for atmosphere goes to the downtown location. Located in one of the old buildings on Palafox with it's dark wood and high, open ceilings, this place has a lot... More

The brie dip was the best! Ordered one then ordered a second. Great beers on tap. The service was great!

Hopjacks has an excellent selection of beers at a very good price. When I came back from California I figured there wouldn't be any decent places to grab a craft brew, but Hopjacks proved me wrong! Also, if you enjoy a good, thick dark beer try the Midnight Oil.

Take your average Pizza Kitchen and put it in a gym, 7 days a week, for 6 years, and you can kind of grasp what kind of product they're putting out at Hopjacks Pizza Kitchen & Taproom. With toppings like fresh asparagus, crawfish, roasted duck, filet mignon, roasted corn, and cream cheese to name a few, this is far from... More

If you like beer. Come here. My husband wanted to try this place because of the beer selections. Which was huge. Over 100 beers on tap and bottles. We got the fries - was very good.. And the sauce it came with was amazing! The pizza was very good as well. We got the "steak dinner." It was very filling.... More
