Chef Daniel is dedicated to the best ingredients, preparation and service. He bakes all the bread fresh from scratch each morning & whips the real butter for your table. Makes all his sauces (for example, for his 'pico' he's sourced really fine tomatoes from his tomato guy for ten years! 'Chef', as his staff respectfully calls him, is a stickler... More

Overall this is a mediocre restaurant but pay attention to the details of the reviews posted here and you can find a few gems. Specifically the lobster spring rolls and the blackened Mahi sandwich - both were excellent. The fried shrimp was also a pleasant surprise; the breading was light and crispy and not at all greasy. The crab stuffed... More

Another great find from TripAdvisor. Went with our family. The homemade bread was the best, followed by the Lobster spring rolls! Blackened Mahi Mahi was good. But the service was spectacular made us feel at home.

Both the food and service were good. Nothing extraordinary, but a good value and family friendly atmosphere.

I had the blackened mahi mahi, which was delicious and just enough spice to be flavorful. My gf had the shrimp, it was lightly breaded, so there was shrimp and not a ton of batter like at some places. The key lime pie is among the best we've had. Our server Elizabeth was spot on with her suggestions, since this... More

We will not be back after eating fried tomatoes (which were ok) & fried grouper sandwiches The fish was horrible, very dry and greasy, almost like it had been refried. Or waitress was inattentive and offered no hospitality above what was minimally required to get our order. We waited a long time for the food, and we only ate the... More

There were 6 of us and we all really like what we ordered. Small place that doesn't look like much but it was good.

Not a new place, off the beaten path, atmosphere not great, little hard to find, however the food is spectacular, I had the best blackened mahi mahi that I had every had, wife had prime rib, which was also great.

We almost passed by this restaurant because the exterior is lacking and most nights appeared to be closed early by 9ish (maybe from low season?). Small menu but food was very good. Mostly fried shrimp, grilled fish, etc.

Being a local, my husband and I eat at Hognose Snapper very often. Never had a bad meal or bad service. Of course we do not go to a seafood restaurant named Hognose Snapper and order beef either!!! Dan prepares only fresh seafood, vegetables, salads, and breads. Creme Brule' is the best. Always a gourmet meal for a non-gourmet price.... More
