On the first day of our family vacation, I was the unfortunate recipient of a baseball to the chin and needed stitches. I took advantage of this opportunity to ask a local about where to get good seafood in Panama City Beach. The urgent care Dr recommend the The Sandbar to us. We loved it so much we went twice... We found this place off the beaten path and it was in a tiny rundown building which generally means really good food and in this case it did. We waited only about 20 minutes and were put at a community table. There was a small bar and sports on television. They are known for their BBQ and how many times... More

This place was so good! It already had great reviews so we decided to go and it did not let us down. I had the shrimp poboy and it was huge! Boyfriend had the oysters and they were the biggest ones we've had at any restaurant! Prices on here are a little off though... Oysters were about $13 for a... More

They have spicy foods. Wife ordered steamed shrimp. Was too spicy for her taste. They were very prompt in redoing the order with lemon butter in place of the spicy-no problem at all. I had the clam strips which were quite fresh. We will be back. Just a note that those who don't like spicy, make sure to mention that... More

Our visit started a little rough when we sat without service we were on our way out the door when the bartender saw us leaving and hailed us over. So glad he did. Gerald was our bartender and what a joy he was. We ordered a dozen raw oysters to start and I must say they were probably the BEST... More

I don't care about the "ambiance" of a restaurant at all....I just like good food & reasonable prices. We found this place in the PCB area & loved it. It's not much to look at.... has some really cheesy murals on walls & lots of memorabilia or whatever. But, the food's great. The bartender was very cool. We came back... More

Not too bad. Potatoes and steak were a bit too salty. However they did accommodate my 4 year old son with a second round of steamed shrimp since the first was too "spicy" for him.

i was visiting. Panama City beach for a month . I went to the sandbar restaurant . I ordered 2 lobster claws and blackened grouper . What a disappointment !! The lobster claws were either over cooked or just just old!! They had a rubbery texture!! The grouper was no better !! It was tough and tasteless! Do not waste... More

At the recommendation of some locals, decided to try this for fried seafood. The exterior and interior décor is nothing to write home about, but was very clean. Wound up having the fried Grouper basket, which was very good. Tried a local Pale Ale, which they recommended, but in the end was not that great. Another plus, for some -... More
