Wow, the food was excellent. You must have their seafood. The wait staff was super nice and it was our honeymoon and they brought us out a desert with a sparkler on it. I would definatley go to Panama City again just to eat there! more

I like this place. We had a horrible experience the night before at Black Angus steak/seafood restaurant (also in Panama City), so we were already on edge, waiting for something bad to happen at Boatyard. But we really enjoyed our meal, our server was a nice guy, and all our food was COOKED properly and brought to us in a... more

Let's face it Capt Anderson has been cooking it over for more than 30 years and its becoming a little dated. Right down the way is the updated and modern way of seafood. The view is oustanding and the food is simply great. We started the night off with the hot cheese and crab dip. It was just amazing. Large... more

This is a great location and full of people...nice wine list and the menu sounds good. BUT, service was horrible and the food which sounded good (baked brie, hearts of palm salad) was sub-standard. It appears the chef thinks he is "superb" but lacks the ability to execute what he puts on the menu. The baked brie came with what... more

Overall this restaurant is a good one. The food was well prepared and very tasty. The service was okay. Our waiter lacked good communication skills and mumbled quite a bit. He also brought us the wrong bill but he corrected it quickly and was very nice. The atmosphere is very nice with covered, open air dining. I would definitely eat... more

A Wednesday night in early May was a great time to visit the Boatyard. This restaurant always makes it to our ever shrinking list of "must go" restaurants when we visit the Gulf Coast. We were seated immediately. Although it was breezy, we sat along the dock where we could view the fishing boats and lagoon. My husband had a... more

The Boatyard has it going on. We have a place in Panama City Beach, and this is now one of our "not miss" stops when we are in town. I am yet to have a bad experience and we have dined there several times over the last year. For those looking for “just the basics” fried seafood, there are probably... more

We ate lunch at The Boatyard on the lagoon after we did the Pirate Cruise. The reason we decided to give it a try was the 15% discount on our meal with our Pirate cruise tickets. The atmosphere was great. The restaurant is open air with lots of ceiling fans for increased breezes and you are right on the lagoon.... more

We went to eat at this Restaurant because we heard the atmosphere was really great. I will agree that the ambiance was nice, but the service was Horrible! When i asked the waitress about a particular fish dish, she said " Yeah---they put some stuff on top of the fish. My wife's steak came out stone cold. I asked for... more
