My husband and I have tried to eat at Captain Anderson's a total of 4 times. The first time was years ago and the food and service was great. The second time we asked the waitress what fish they had that was mild and she suggested flounder. We had ordered a fillet supposedly without any bones. She deboned the filet... more

We just returned home from a family reunion celebrating our Mom's 75th Birthday. Two months ago we called to make a reservation at Capt. Anderson's and spoke with Yonnie who was quite pleasant on the phone and said that he would seat our party of 21 together with a view of the dock. I explained the 75th birthday and we... more

The service, quality, and atmosphere were certainly not worth the price we paid for it. As a longtime local resident, I looked forward to taking my boyfriend's out-of-town family here. It was a disaster. We waited one and a half hours on a Monday, our waitress was inept, the (grilled) food was dripping in butter and oil. None of us... more

We ate at Captain Anderson's twice this week and both times were wonderful experiences. The servers on both occasions were friendly and professional and made us feel welcome. The food we ordered was delicious and prepared perfectly and the large portions were a great value. The historic water side setting of the restaurant added even more to a great experience.... more

I don't mind waiting to be seated in a restaurant, especially if the food and service make it worthwhile, but to have to wait for this was frustrating and annoying. After being pointed to our table by a total of 3 different ushers through the hectic chaos at their busiest time, I should have know this wasn't going to be... more

Had dinner two years ago and it was fantastic: food, service, atmosphere, etc.. Could not have been happier. We ate there on my daughter's birthday, May 19, 2009, and it was absolutely terrible. My seafood combination platter was a joke: 3 shrimp, 10 small scallops, 2 small pieces of fish, 1 crab cake, and 1 1/2 hush puppies. It cost... more

Captain Anderson’s runs an extensive ad campaign on Beach TV, the Panama City Beach tourist cable network. My first sleepless night at the beach was spent watching their commercials, where I learned that the owners are Greek, love ouzo, and own several hundred other local enterprises. Having seen the heavy-handed advertisements and having read some VERY negative reviews, I had... more

This place is still my favorite seafood restaurant after 15 years. We just got back to Atlanta from Seagrove and we always make the drive to Panama City to eat there. We should have just ate there all three nights, but made the mistake of eating at some other highly recommended restaurants along the pan handle. We do like to try... more
