Bayou Joe's is such a neat little patio restaurant located on an old dock on Massalina Bayou very near old downtown Panama City. It is well worth the time to find it and try. The atmosphere is like a place Bogart would have hung out around in one of his old movies. It is unique, very casual and right on... More

Went for lunch on a Saturday, it was very busy but was worth the wait. The food was hot and delicious, we waited quite a while for it but being that we weren't in a hurry and enjoying a cocktail overlooking the water we didn't mind. My husband had the shrimp and grits, classic but with a Bayou Joe's twist... More

Bayou Joe's has a perfect location! This place is super cute! The staff was very friendly. I would call ahead to make sure of hours because they were about to close when we came in but they kindly sat us and were happy to serve us! Food is delicious!

We have been there numerous times and expected limited tables for a party of 7, so we split 5 & 2. When a table beside table with 2 came open we moved to sit together. My wife apologized that we moved to sit together and our waitress stated something like " yeah, I have eyes I'm not blind." This same... More

I've been coming to this little place for over 10 years, usually by boat. It's changed hands a few times and I think it has changed hands again. Prices have gone up slightly, but the food is still pretty good. I had the grouper sandwich, and it was a little bland and a very small filet. My husband's was much... More

We were looking for local and relaxed casual local flavor and we found it. When you get there you'll wonder what are you doing there. It's a wonderful ambience for just what we were wanting. The atmosphere and views are magnificent and the food is even better. We will definitely visit again.

Yep, you heard it right. Bayou Joe's has awesome breakfast items that include monster-size biscuits. You can get them regular or grilled. Get the grilled - they cut them in half, butter them, and grill them. They're crunchy on top, but soft and fluffy on the inside. Then there's the Fried Catfish platter. Umhmm, catfish for breakfast! Also, they have... More

My husband and a I love this place. You can pull up by boat or walk up. Looks like a hole in the wall shack, but the food is great. Unique menu items. (Trash Burger,Drunken peach cobbler, Beach Blonde Ale) Friendly wait staff. Perfect for lunch or dinner at sunset. Love the fried pickles with fried banana peppers!

Our server, Alan was very good and attentive, and the staff really nice. The view was great also, but food was only OKAY. I would probably not do a repeat.

If you're looking for good seafood, great atmosphere, and local flare, eat at Bayou Joes. Watch the schools of fish, the sea birds, and the fleets of boats while enjoying local beer and an expansive menu. We were lucky enough to spot a dolphin on our last trip!
