Will never return...management fired a serviceman due to his commitment to our country. The BEST sushi chief in Florida!!!! He was called to duty then told due to scheduling availability they had to fire him...REALLY?? No matter how good the food is...if you cannot support the military we cant support your local business.

Hummm......too bad that is the story someone told you. That would be a great story to and pass on. Sorry, but your information is askew. That's okay. We too have family members that are in the military so we are perfectly aware of their commitment to our country. We wish the best of luck to them and any of the... More

A friend of mine told me to come here. The Thai Style cooked fish is a must, he said. Six months later I decided to take my wife. We shared the Thai style cooked hog snapper (2.2 lbs for $44.00 and it was plenty - the most expensive option, but hogfish sells out fast. It is caught with a spear... More

We have been here in the past when it was a biker place, then when the Clam House first opened a couple years ago. Wow , has it changed. Freshest shucked clams on the planet, and reasonably priced. Couldn't make up our minds, between sushi, which we saw being freshly made, or should we have the Thai fry. We chose... More

This has been about our 6th or 7th visit to the Clam House. I have been remiss in not posting the kind of review this place deserves. Tonight we had the Ahi Tuna sashimi appetizer and the Thia-fried red snapper. Both were excellent...sorry to miss the great local clams. The essence of this place is that it is REAL, and... More

Thank you soooo much for your nice review. Glad to see we are still hitting our mark. Our main goal is to bring "Real" seafood back to the table!! It is a challenge with rising food costs and corporations willing to cut out the small guy, by providing what they call "food" at a cheaper prices. We will strive do... More

It's very casual with a friendly staff, no pretensions. The Sushi chef is terrific, and the pieces are large, and delicious. Our favorite is the Thai fish. They have their own boat, so everything is fresh. There is a daily choice of sizes of fish for your party. And, they pour a good cocktail. It's on our local list of... More

A surprisingly good, very and friendly sea food restaurant in downtown Palmetto FL. Perhaps the biggest surprise is the great sushi bar with a expert chef who come up with innovative offerings. We go out of our way to return. The farm their own clams!!

We went to this restaurant looking for some seafood nearby and based on tripadvisors ratings. Its a simple restaurant, but the food its just great and fresh. We ordered the house salad and the clam house chowder for appetizers, both excellent. For main course we had the mahi-mahi taco - just awesome, freash and perfectly cooked - , and the... More

The four of us visited the Clam House last evening. We have mixed to poor reviews on the food and Very Poor reviews on the Manager. The restaurant advertises "fresh fish" but this is definitely in question. I ordered a fish encrusted in wasabi. Sounded great on the menu. Well, the first bite told the story. The fish was tasteless... More

Road-weary, we finally stopped here because the parking lot was busy. We waited for at least minutes to get our beers and 55 minutes before we got our order(s). The restaurant was busy, but far from 'packed' and all 3 or 4 servers seemed to be inexperienced or just 'rushed'. My husband's fish tacos (which he pronounced 'completely underwhelming') arrived... Re: "What was the manager thinking? & Not sure what the "rave" and full parking lot were about...." Yes, the full parking lot tells the story. There is a reason for that, it wasn't just a mishap. Unfortunately, in life things are not always 100% perfection. We have all suffered from a meal or event that was not to our... More
