My wife and I were passing through Palmetto over the weekend and were recommended to try Norma Rae's by some folks at the marina we were parked at. We went there for breakfast and it was excellent. Good food, good service and good prices. The building it is in is a really cool old building too.

We have just moved to FL and knew there would be tons of errands to run so a stop here was great. One had breakfast, corn beef hash, that he loved and I had the classic club.....LOVED IT! We had no wait today but got there after breakfast crowd and before lunch so it was perfect. Give this place a... More

Alpine burger.....mushrooms, swiss cheese....heaven! Pancakes very fluffy, portions are generous and fairly priced. Kinda small restaurant but very historic area of Palmetto (circa 1891).

I eat there quite a bit as I live here and the menu, price and quality of food is great. I would recommend this place for both locals and travelers. Management and service was great on all occasions. I take all visitors there for breakfast and they are not disappointed.

I used to come here when it was the nook and it was awesome. Just visited again under new name and was very disappointed. It seemed like theyou were short handed and they handled it very poorly. We waited 15 minutes to be seated and we're not aknowledged once. The service was slow and we waited 30 minutes plus for... More

This is a great place for lunch or breakfast, or even breakfast for lunch. They have a variety of quiche every day and a cinnamon streusel dessert that is decadently delicious!! I definitely recommend.

This place is fun, eclectic and has a great menu. The food and service have always been great for us too. Our last visit I had the catfish Benedict sandwich. It was amazing!!

Huge, delicious breakfasts. Sausage is particularly meaty and flavorful. Home fried potatoes like they were meant to be. Coffee is just ok. Service was, well, marginal; so okay, they were very VERY busy on a Saturday morning. But all we wanted was a coffee refill, and after ignoring our attempts to get her attention for 15 minutes, the waitress grabbed... More
