Good food, short staffed

We went on our lunch break. They only had 2 servers and the place was packed. They were both clearly working very hard and trying to what they could. Besides that the food came out quick once we got to place our order and it tasted great. The prices were good as well.

Nifty atmosphere - antiques, non-matching but comfortable chairs and tables. Excellent food at a very reasonable price. Have been here twice for breakfast and am looking forward to lunch. The menu looks great.

Fantastic omlets made fresh. Family owned and run. Lovely atmosphere. Amazing cheesy potatoes as a side. Great breads. Excellent prices for the high caliber food and portions!

The outside hides a real gem. Had a breakfast meeting here and left with a new respect. The atmosphere is clean and quiet. The service fast, the value great the staff polite and helpful. We were allowed to take up a large table for 2 hours. Our cups were kept full we were not rushed and treated very well. All... More

Arrived in Palmetto and happened upon this place by accident. Lucky accident! The restaurant is in an old historic building with brick walls and a tin ceiling...straight out of the 1900's. The place was packed, and we had to sign in and wait. In less than 15 minutes we were seated and gave our drink order. The waitress, Lauren was... More

Historical Atmosphere.....but I wish the food was better to match....I would say "fair"....the only thing I have found pretty OK is the California omelet. Don't get the pancakes, I had the Pecan-choc chip pancakes recently....I wondered where the Pecans were!! The whole thing tasted pre-prepared with the cheapest of ingredients.

If you go on the weekend you might have to wait, but wait! The food is very good, the prices are fair, and you will get good service from local people. Norma Rae's is not a chain and is locally owned so it feels homey and welcoming. We visit often during the season and have always been happy.

The food here is great, every time I go here I am happy with the quality and taste of their food. The service is lacking. Not necessarily rude, but not overly friendly and not attentive. I have been here quite a few times and it is always the same. Many times we have had to flag down the waitress to... More
