East Lake Cafe has wonderful food, great atmosphere and questionable waitstaff.

My husband and I have eaten at the East Lake Cafe twice in the last two months, we have had wonderful breakfasts, crepes, eggs benedict, fruit cups, perfectly done bacon. The owner is about all the time, making sure everyone is getting what they need but the wait staff all seem like they are mad... read more

Others have said it is priced at the high end for breakfast but there is a reason. Portions are very generous and the food is creatively prepared with really fresh ingredients. My Italian omelette had a mix of really tasty sausages and veggies and bigger than I could handle. At 11 AM on a weekday service was just fine with... More

Really nice place for breakfast. They offer a Southern special which includes sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, grits and eggs. While the scrambled eggs were just a little bit dry, everything else was right on the money. I'm surprised that the restaurant closes daily at 3:00 p.m. It's in between two other places that do a brisk nighttime business, and... More

Always have a great breakfast here, small place but clean with fast service. Great daily specials too. Interesting menu choices.

Gourmet breakfast menu you won't find anywhere else. Food is fresh. No premade or packaged junk. Real food creatively cooked. Food deserves 5 stars... But... Service is slow, and don't expect coffee refills. You have to ask. Several times - for coffee, for anything else not on the table. If one person asks for coffee, one person gets coffee -... More

I have been to the East Lake Café several times. They have outdoor seating for those with dogs. Their food is quite good and reasonably priced. The staff is very attentive and pleasant. I have never had a bad experience here - it's a local favorite.

I have tried the Eastlake Cafe 6 times now because I live just right around the corner. Their food is not bad however it isn't anything that really wants to draw me to make it my local go to spot. The service is lacking and many times they never come back to check and see if your meal is prepared... More

I had the Healthy Multi-Grain Pancakes–granola, raisins, bananas, cinnamon. It was absolutely delightful, flavorful and impossible to finish even 3/4. Way too much food, but entirely worth the trip. My partner ordered the Fruitopia – Choice of bananas or blueberries or strawberries (in season) . Wow, another great find with fresh berries. There is dining inside and if you select,... More

Excellent menu and daily specials. Outdoor seating is under some beautiful trees. Service was very good. I did not like the fancy creams they had on the table to add to my coffee, so they immediately brought me milk in a pretty container. Two waitresses took care of our needs. Price was higher than we are use to, but sometimes... More

I have now on 3 different occasions taken a group of friends there; both for breakfast and for lunch. I think it's a cute place and it offers a very nice menu with lots of choices. I particularly like the breakfast menu. The food itself is pretty good but where lies the problem is how rude they treat their patrons.... More
