Great place for lunch

The food was great, fresh, and very well presented. Service was okay, they were very busy so needed a little more help. Would go again.

East Lake Cafe morphed from Picasso's Palate into a wonderful, much-needed dining spot for breakfast, brunch and lunch. In addition to their regular menu which features fresh omelettes, crepes, waffles and salads and sandwiches, there are weekly specials. Leave room for dessert. Portions are generous. Prices are on par for above-average dining. Seating is inside or outside on the dog-friendly... More

The convenience of being close by and fact it is easily accessible with lots of parking is a real plus. The fact they have covered outdoor eating area is another plus. Service is spotty---sometimes fast and efficient while other times slow and inattentive. Food is usually good but nothing special.

This is great locally owned restaurant that specializes in breakfast and lunch. It is a significant increase in quality and price compared to a Denny's or a Bob Evans however, it is not as overly priced as The Lucky Dill. The thoughtfulness that goes into the menu is greatly appreciated. Last Sunday I took my son there for brunch. He... More

If you're like me, you order Eggs Benedict with a feeling of risk-taking: will it be hollandaise worth eating? You're not taking a risk at East Lake Cafe, because they know how to do it right. They have several versions of "Benedict" including florentine (with spinach), smoked Scottish salmon (with spinach, capers, and dill hollandaise), crab, and California (grilled tomato... More

Again, after yesterday's debacle, I not only wonder why this place remains immensely popular but also why I keep going in there! 40 minutes from doorway to plated food is ridiculous, and we were 2 minutes away from walking out (The Hubs' comment of "I'll give it a couple more minutes"), when our breakfast arrived. I would like to blame... More

I have visited a couple of times and on both occasions the food has been delicious! My only complaint is that I wish the servers were a little more friendly. I will still be back though as it is a great neighborhood cafe.

Average diner. Simple food - mainly deli sandwiches/wraps and omelets. Fast service, like a diner. Good place for quick lunch. Plan to try for breakfast soon.
