Freshly prepared on the spot

This maybe in somewhat of a hidden location. But the sushi is excellent. Great selection. Freshly prepared as you watch. Never over crowded. Priced fairly. Service is average. Take out is always a great option too. A much better option than Ibizu by far.

I can't speak to the sushi, but have tried several of their noodle dishes and they were all subpar. To the point where I wouldn't want to try their sushi. I've found that when Japanese restaurants fail at noodles, that's a problem. Maybe it is inconsistent, given there are plenty of folks who seem to like the restaurant and food.... More

Most horrible 'japanese' food i ever had!! Totally disappointed! Definitely not a authentic japanese restaurant - the most basic, rice is not even the japanese style, my goodness! The dipping sauce for tempura, don't know what it is, taste sweet, asked the waitress and she has no idea. The teriyaki with chicken and steak are also topped with sweet sauce... More

Focus is on raw fish, but a relatively complete menu is available. The sushi/sashimi is ok but lacks the sparkle of very fresh top line fish. Then again it isn't priced to serve that kind of fish.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant. They serve hibachi sushi and Asian food and the food here is always delicious.

Quiet setting. Lunchtime and the place wasn't busy. Service was courteous and excellent. The food was great quality Japanese for the price. I would return.

Same order of sushi second time around, and we were charged an extra dollar to make it all salmon. The salmon was not as good as last time. We shared a teriyaki dish of only vegetables, and were charged for chicken! No happy hour, glass of flavored sake, very small, $7.00!! The vegetables were good, and so is the sauce.... More

This place has the best quality sushi in palm beach. Its better then most "upscale" sushi places. Dont let the strip mall appearance fool you. Very good sushi. The staff is ok.

First visit to Hayashi and I would try it again. Wasn't crowded at all (which was concerning since I'm not a local to the area). I had 2 sushi rolls, edamame and a Kirin beer which totaled $25. They didn't charge me for spicy mayo, which some sushi places do. Everything was served promptly. Good place to go if you... More
