Good food, great buzz

Lunch time at Renato's is a must. Eat inside with your guests and dine in a room where you can see people ambling by the via on one side and on the other feast your eyes on the handsome courtyard flooded with local business honchos and attractive visitors.

Went to Renato's to celebrate my sister's birthday. Started with fois gras: The liver was too greasy, and the toast points completely stale and soggy. A 5! Had the sword fish in tomato, olive and pernod sauce: Great sauce, terrible, dried out fish. A 6! Had the ravioli with mushroom: Fantastic, perfectly prepared dough, you could taste the truffles, amazing... More

I had Tuna Tartar and Veal Gorgonzola. The 2 dishes were tasteless with no seasoning. I could not taste the Gorgonzola in the heavy cream sauce. My bill came to $215, which I would not mind paying for god food. Unfortunate because the courtyard is most attractive.

After many years, Renato's has remodeled it's main dining room and it's beautiful. So is the outdoor courtyard. So are the dining rooms on the other side of the courtyard. We really prefer these dining rooms, one of which is perfect for one table for 8 or 10. In other words, it's a terrific looking space. Service is wonderful as... More

The food is excellent and service is outstanding. The restaurant has the look and feeling of being in Sorrento.

We had read other reviews on Renato's and were excited to go there for dinner this evening. We were sadly disappointed though. The food was mediocre at best. Normally I wouldn't mind paying a little extra money for mediocre food provided that there is a good atmosphere and service. Well this place had the atmosphere but we received absolutely terrible... You feel like one of the beautiful people as you are shown to your table by the handsome maitre d'hotel. And you are surrounded by chic, bejewelled, diners. Our waiter was great, the martini wasnt' great, but our lunch was yummy. We had 2 different pastas, and took home a doggy bag each, so we really had two meals from... More

We enjoyed eating at Renato's outdoor terrace on a Sunday afternoon. We each had salads that were very good and we shared a pizza. A very nice place!

I would give Renato's 3.5 stars if possible. The ambiance and al fresco dining are the best part of the restaurant, the service was what would be expected at a restaurant of this price and the food is not the best Italian I've had in Palm Beach or South Florida, but is, again, what one would expect. Hence, the A-OK... More

We had dinner at Renato's with another couple and we were looking for the normal first class experience which we experienced there many times over. Cocktails were well made and the wine by the glass was not worth the $18 per. We ordered starting off with a special watermelon salad which was a joke; three small pieces of watermelon with... More
