Hungry for Italian

We ate lunch at this restaurant while on vacation. We were very pleased with the food. The garlic cheese bread was the best I've ever had! I enjoyed the eggplant parmesan. We heard the original owners sold this, since they are nowhere near what they used to be. Very sad because this was my favorite for a long time. The last time we called to order they kept hanging up on us, like they were too busy. Good business, hope you stay busy.

We wanted something easy and delicious. This pizza earned it's reviews. We got the meat 16 inch and the antipasto salad. I ordered the small pepperoni just in case it wasn't enough for us and we ended up with lunch for the next day. Don't wait til you are hungry though I guess you can't rush perfection.

What a find. Quaint setting with proper decor. Anyone can make it look good. This restaurant service and food makes it pop. The wedding soup was like nona's. The fettuccine was excellent and cheesy like i love it. The baked ziti was as good as it comes. The service was outstanding the first time we visited and has even gotten... More

This place is just like stepping out into a restaurant in New Jersey. The pizza and meatballs were to die for.

We wanted to try something cozy, and we found it. It was busy for a Fourth of July, but we weren't waiting long for a table. We found the service to be very good. We ordered the special, but they were out of the fettuccine and asked if we would like it with spaghetti or penne, The pizza was very... More

One night, after getting our Hershey's ice cream, we walked down the strip of the mall in which Hershey's is located and came across this little gem. We checked it out on TripAdvisor and decided to try it out the following evening- now we have added this to our must-have list for years to come when we visit. It's easy... More

Generally speaking the Italian eats on the beach in Daytona and Ormond are below average. Reastaurants come and go with great frequency and cater to tourists. Genovese's has been around a long time and most patrons are locals. A tefaststament to a place just blocks from the beach. Do not expect atmosphere and be prepared to wait for a table.... More

My family and I visit Ormond /Daytona area every year and Italian is our favorite (next to BBQ). Genovese's never let's us down! It is authentic, delicious, and even though small it's not small on service, taste or style. Whether you're looking for homemade pizza, bubbly baked ziti, or just a small place to relax and read the paper you... More
