Excellent authentic German food

Just like visiting friends in Germany - good European food that I can't spell served in a comfortable setting. Neither fancy or a party place, a great place for a very good meal.

My friends brought us here for our anniversary. The food was excellent, soup was great, schnitzel was huge and very delicious, the waiter was very friendly. I would recommend this place to every european and every american who loves european style food. This is not a cheap fast food restaurant, but the prices are affordable. Reservations are recommended because the... More

We went with a small group, you would probably drive by the place unless you were specifically looking for it. Decor is quaint, but has enough room around tables so we did not feel cramped. We tried the Wiener Schnitzel which was very good, and tender with the spaetzles and brown gravy, yum! Also had the Milano Schnitzel, has a... More

My standards for german/czech food are pretty high. This place did a commendable job, given that its so far from home. Food: There were a few flavors that rang true: schnitzel, the mixed appetizer platter, and the goulash soup. Others rang less true to what I expected: bratwurst, black bread, and turkish coffee. Service: Friendly and efficient. Decor: Felt a... More

Our meal started with an excellent pair of soups: chicken for my wife and sauerkraut for me. Wonderful flavors! My wife had an unbreaded schnitzel with a mushroom sauce that she liked and I had a weiner schnitzel that was just okay. It was a little too oily for my taste. We both had spaetzles which was not prepared to... More

Place is funky and small, food is delicious. Had the recommended Wiener Schnitzel. It was as delicious as it was huge. Had the strudel and palacinka presburg for dessert. Both outstanding. Prices are incredible reasonable.

Small restaurant but more than enough room at each table. Wait staff was very friendly and courteous. We both had the Sauerkraut soup. My friend ordered the JAGERSCHNITZEL (schnitzel with mushroom sauce) and I ordered the SCHNITZEL CORDON BLEU (schnitzel with ham and cheese). As full as I was I had to have a piece of their apple strudel, served... More

My mother is German so I know what great schnitzel should taste like and the ones here are wonderful, as are the side dishes like sauerkraut. Service is also very good and as the restaurant is a house, charming to be in. Home cooking in someone's home!

We visited the Schnitzel House recently and were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is a house with two small dining rooms. The meal is started off with wonderful bread & cheese spread and soup. There are so many types of schnitzel to choose from but I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. The portions are... More
