Very nice dinner!

Five of us had dinner at the European Cafe & Schnitzel House. Between us, we ordered the Spaetzles appetizer, 2 chicken schnitzel ala natural, 1 veal jaeger schnitzel and also 2 german dinner plates (2 different kind of sausages and ham). My husband and I are Both part German and we love German food! However they are still not wheelchair accessible! It's 2015..... 25 years after the Americans with disabilities Act of 1990! Truthfully if they have not made any updates since 1990 that would require the 15% accessibilty (ADA) aspect, then we probably don't want to be eating there anyway.

The idea of authentic German food was very tempting. The setting is nice and the staff very pleasant. I had schnitzel which was supposed to have melted cheese on top. I was taken aback when the dish came out with what was clearly a pre-sliced square of white cheese that was probably microwaved. The spaetzle lacked flavor. My companion had... More

We loved it. Great food. Wonderful service. Good menu (food and beverage). Ambiance ok (picnic table type booths). But this is a great little restaurant and we WILL go back. Highly recommended.

Just average, nothing special if you are looking for real German food. Like going to Taco Bell for Mexican food.

We went to this restaurant because it was very foggy and we didn't want to drive, and it was right across the street from our hotel. It is a very charming place from the outside, the inside was equally charming, but what makes it great, was the food, we had Weiner Schnitzel and it was so good. The young man... More

The Schnitzel House is located in a little (what used to be a) single family house. From the outside, in my opinion, it's cute and inviting, but I can see how some might say... "ahhh no". That would be a mistake! This is a cute, cozy little restaurant with fantastic, authentic food. We've dined here a few times and have... More

Charming and quaint interior, place almost empty, wasn't sure what to expect. What a surprise! Food was very good...weiner schnitzel huge, sauer brauten great, pickled herring yummy. Prices very reasonable for food, beer and wine tho after dinner drink steep considering it was only an ounce. Wish service was not so fast to deliver food after ordered, as ambiance very... More

My husband and I were celebrating our 6 year wedding anniversary and wanted to keep away from Bike Week traffic so we decided to try this place out. We had been saying for ages how we'd like to go, but never had. We made a reservation for 8 o'clock, but found that we didn't really need it, most likely because... More

This was an unexpected find. We had beef borscht, pirogues, stuffed cabbage and sauerbraten. All good. Generous portions. It's s small venue and the waiter seemed a little overwhelmed
