Another return to Yellow Dog - their Pulled Pork Sandwich is just the best. They also do take-always - great to stock up if you are on a long drive to North Carolina and Tennessee.

Food was OK, bun cold and food was not hot. The personnel at the restaurant were cold and acted like we were an inconvenience to them. We won’t go back, there are way too many choices ok there.
Been on my list of places to eat for a LONG time. Finally managed it this trip. It was definitely worth the wait and slight detour from Winter Garden back to Disney. We had the pulled pork tacos, the Florida cracker, and the kids' cheese...quesadilla. All food was quickly prepared and tasted amazing. Clean restaurant and great, quirky surroundings. It's definitely a locals place, but worthy of a tourist trip out here for the food! The only sad point was missing out on the happy hour craft beers as driving / too early in the day (is it ever too early....) We nay be back before our trip is over. Highly recommended.More
Excellent and super casual - reminds me of many restaurants in the Windward and Leeward islands of the Caribbean. I eat at the Yellow Dog whenever I am in Central Florida - the pulled pork is recommended.
This restaurant is absolutely delightful! Each dish on the menu is incredibly fresh, and the ambiance is fantastic. It's a place that caters to everyone's preferences, whether you're dining with your family or simply looking to enjoy a seat at the bar. I'm eagerly looking...forward to exploring more items on their menu in the days to come.More
Chef Fish Morgan operates the kind of barbecue restaurant in a suburb of Orlando, Florida, that is more likely to be found in Memphis or Austin or St. Louis or Kansas City. Located at 1236 Hempel Avenue in Gotha, near more well known Windermere, less...than 30 minutes from Orlando, in the historic 1910 two-story Brockman House, near Lake Olivia, Morgan's Yellow Dog Eats serves BBQ sandwiches, tacos, nochos, salads, wraps and craft brews in a colorful setting with a patio. It is best known for a unique BBQ sandwich called "The Rufus," a pulled pork sandwich topped with Brie cheese, cherry pepper rings, then covered in raspberry melba and topped with Fish's signature Gold BBQ sauce. If you are feeling frisky, add bacon, shoestring potatoes and fried onions. Either way, it's a two-handed adventure. Also try The Dog's famous pulled pork sandwich with house-smoked pulled pork served on a fun/fluffy bum with Fish's Gold BBQ sauce and home-made coleslaw. And the Florida Cracker, tender pulled pork topped with tangy coleslaw, Gouda cheese, pecan-smoked bacon, spicy pickles and fried onions topped with Fish's Gold BBQ sauce and served on a thick fun/fluffy bun with kettle cooked chips. You just can't get enough of Fish's Gold BBQ sauce.More
I have been here twice in the last 2 months. Food is always fresh, made quickly and delicious. Love the variety and creativity of the menu. Worth a trip!!
This was a mod, trendy sort of restaurant with little to define it as anything close to a "traditional" BBQ joint. And it's a little on the pricey side, but that's gotten to be the challenge for all restaurant owners as food prices and labor...costs soar. Aside from that, the food was FANTASTIC, the staff was very friendly, and the layout is quite pleasant, if perhaps a little loud on the hip music. Glad my navigator found this because it's not on a road we would have ever traveled otherwise. Let me define 'FANTASTIC": it was by far the most interesting and delicious pulled pork sandwich I've ever had (Florida Cracker). I'd love to bring my wife here, and I'm passing the word on to others.More
This is a good restaurant... but I need to advice you that it is for friends and the the food is great and the interior design is awesome. It reminds of the beach restaurants.
The food is extremely creative and I love the way the flavors compliment each other. I had the Florida cracker and this sandwich is outstanding. It's bursting with flavors. It's a slam dunk. I am not a fan of this place offering amazing sandwiches but...using Miss Vickie's chips as a side. Make your own chips y'all. I subbed for their oven roasted potatoes which were very good. My wife had the pulled pork tacos. The flavor was excellent but the meat served was not even warm. Maybe that's how it's served? That's the only complaint of her entree. All in all this place was great. I would definitely come back!More
We were staying near Disney but really fancied a smokehouse vibe, which was surprisingly hard to find. I’m so glad we ventured out of the tourist parts and found such a great place. The garden is such a nice place to chill with homemade food,...big portions, and reasonable prices. Very decent alcohol selection.More
Food - every meal my family or I have had had been consistently great, eat in or take out. I ordered the WTF wrap (what the Fig- pulled pork with bacon & a fig dressing), my family had the Holy Crap (turkey club), Buffalo soldier...(Buffalo chicken salad wrap), and a classic club sandwich. Everyone was ecstatic with their choices, the food was quick coming out and that right level of warm. My WTF pulled pork was well seasoned with light bbq so that it would not be over powered with the Fig spread. Service - If eating in you order at the counter, get a buzzer, and eat at any open table. They will clean up after your table. If take out you go to the window lock up and go. Location - they are located in the middle of Gotha, at a T intersection. They have about 7 spots in the front, a parking lot in the back for about 30 and a parking lot across the street for an other 30 cars. But don't worry even when the parking lots seem full you can find a place to eat and relax. Ambiance - the vibe is eclectic and quirky, very 60s or 70s vibe with an old VW van. The entire place is "tagged" up by patrons so it's cool to come back and see the spot you claimed :-)More
For the last several years this place has been on the bucket list. My 2nd trip to Orlando I had this as a place I wanted to try but never seem to get around to it. Now several years later my daughter and I was...in Windemere and wanted to find lunch. through a friend of hers this was suggested and immediately I decided YES. So we went and found it, parked in the back and slipped through the garden entrance. Being new to the place we had no idea where to go and one of te other customers said "First time? go inside to make your order" so helpful. We went in and ordered and the order was up and ready as soon as we sat down (amazingly fast probably faster than a McD;s) the food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was fabulous. If you aren't tapping your foot or giving a little dancing sway you have more self control than me. My daughter ordered the curry chicken wrap and it was huge and look delicious I had ordered the Mr. Smokey ( I like pineapple) :) We ended up taking half home with us. This place managed to place itself on the go to for my daughter a resident in Orlando.she can't wait to take her BF there. Her quote is "I never knew this was here so glad we came". If you slip to the Farmers market in Windemere this is an excellent lunch stop.More
Original combinations, creative entrees, all served with relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Casual dining, but distinct. All entrees are great but our family favorites are Kitty Cat salad and Holy Crap(on a wrap). Animals welcome.
Wow. This place is wonderful. The food was amazing and very happy helpers as well. We highly recommend this restaurant to everyone….if you can find it. :-) It is worth the looking so go for it.
