Good Food - Maybe Too Pricey

25-29$ a plate - 7$ bottle beer - 11$ drinks I feel that it could be better. I had a reservation and a table was waiting for me, which was great, but expected. Walk in had waiting time of 30-35 min which was not bad. The food was good, but I think I could get same quality/taste at Carrabba's... read more

This was part of the dinner/theatre deal for La Nouba. It was a pleasant place to dine prior to the show. The pasta had a great flavor and the waiter was very friendly. I look forward to the construction to be finished in this area because, unfortunately, it detracts from the enjoyment of the area.

We now travel as a couple to Orlando and love to sit at a bar and have a small plate instead of a huge meal. Portobello has a wonderful small assortment of appetizers that really hit the spot and are a little different from the usual offerings. We like it there

Terrible experience @ this restaurant. My family and I travel to Orlando close to 30 or more times a year...sometime a single day trip and more recently we are doing 2-4 day trips each time we come. We have eaten at many restaurants in the area and have had mostly great experiences. We have eaten at many of the restaurants... More

Eight of us had a very good (but not great) Italian meal at Portobello. The menu is varied, offering something for everyone from serious meat-eaters to vegetarians. Portions are plenty big. My grandson had chicken parmesan the size of a dinner plate and perfectly prepared. Flank steak, all kinds of pasta, salads--everything was good. If you come expecting very good... More

Visited for dinner with a group of colleagues. After an hour wait (which I guess I should have expected) we were seated. The service was quite slow, a good 5 min before the waiter even stopped by, and then it was just to say I'll be right back. I ordered a margherita pizza which was described as thin crust, crispy,... Portobello in Downtown Disney is busy, noisy and has only average Italian cuisine. I had the flat iron steak and it was tough and fairly tasteless. For a supposedly high quality Italian restaurant, this one misses the mark.

The service was slow and there were a few screw ups. Different wines were ordered with different courses and were not delivered properly. The food was just warm and average, over priced for what we got. We ordered coffee for after our dessert and it came just before. It was like the server wasn't really listening.

The fried calamari appetizer was excellent, but those darn banana peppers that put on top are uneatable and make the calamari soggy! The server forget to bring any sauce initially but eventually brought some marinara sauce which was unimpressive. Grilled shrimp skewers were a total rip off! They looked good( presentation) but totally tasteless and over priced! The complimentary roasted... More

I was first impressed by the willingness of the waiter to help us alter certain dishes for 4 very picky eaters. He was very good with the children also. We were in a bit of a rush, so that was the only bad part, but they had our food out promptly. The flavors were amazing! Can not wait to eat... More
