If you must do a character buffet dinner, go to the Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom. This was like eating in a stifling, windowless banquet room at the airport Holiday Inn. The food was barely passable even for the kids, and finding vegetables was the buffet equivalent of finding the Holy Grail. Just...don't.

We like character meals at Disney because I feel like it is a good use of time...seeing characters while you eat. Everyone needs to eat, not everyone needs to stand in line for an hour plus to meet a character, I don't care if she is a princess. We have gone to many character meals and 1900 Park Fare is... Paid a visit mainly to see the smile on the face of a little girl that was with our group. To me, that is priceless. However, it does people no good for me to not dive into an in depth review of the experience. Atmosphere - Always a pleasure to visit the Grand Floridian at any time of the year.... More

The food is very expensive for the quality you get. The characters fair enough, but over all not worth it.

I found out the week before our Disney trip that my 12 year old daughter wanted to eat dinner with characters instead of just seeing them in line at the parks. Yikes! I figured there would be no chance of finding any character meal openings but luckily found a cancellation for the "Happily Ever After" dinner at the Grand Floridian... More

We had dinner at 1900 park fare tonight and the only thing you pay for is the characters because the food we had for dinner was horrible the Buffett was just ok not worth the 150 bucks we spent for 2 adults and 2 children only eat there if you have a dining plan

My daughter still talks about her experience at 1900 Park Fare, she loved the meet and greet with the characters and the food was great. I am looking forward to return in the summer of 2015.

My husband, two sons (7&9) and I went for the dinner buffet and loved it! The food was delicious, service was prompt and the character interaction was awesome. Cinderella danced with my son and both step sisters begged for proposals! We had lunch in the castle a few days later and wished we had saved our money. The happily ever... More

We had the Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare after a day at the Magic Kingdom. We ended up being late for a reservation that was later than we wanted anyway because the monorails were not running properly. We were not alone and the entrance area was packed with people in the same situation. It took a while to be... More

Lots of characters and lots of fun! We enjoyed the morning and the breakfast buffet was very good. Loved the egg station and the pancakes. We would do this meal again even though we are a couple and had no children with us.
