Best character dinner

We did 6 character dinners and this was the best overall. It was not as chaotic as most. The setting and staff made it a much calmer environment. The food was also nicely prepared even though every buffet is basically the same. Every character spent time at the table interacting and... read more

I was so pleasantly surprised after our character dining breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. Everything about it was magical. Don't expect a fancy-smancy restaurant, but expect a comfortable family-friendly environment that is super fun. We were never rushed and we went during peak tourist season. The characters that came around spent a more than fair amount of time with each... More

This was buffet style - it was OK. Chef Mickey buffet was much better. having the characters come in (we had Cinderella cast) is good, my daughter enjoyed it. Wouldn't recommend unless you are trying to see a specific character.

With an additional guest along with us for dinner, my daughter's friend from our hometown who is working at WDW we made our second stop into 1900 Park Fare. The food was great and unlike last year the restaurant was not packed meaning we ate in the main part of the dining room instead of a hallway like last year,... More

This is an excellent place for younger families to meet characters. Not as noisy as the contemporary with a slightly more relaxed feeling. It's also an excellent reason to visit this hotel and enjoy the luxury ambiance. The food is good with a wide range of options. Build it into a Magic Kingdom day as the monorail makes this viable.... We have been to 1900 Park Fare several times over the years, when my children were younger this was mainly for characters and they didn't care too much what the food was like. This year as teens they were still keen to go, but were more discerning diners (my son now has to be bribed to pose with characters!) This... More

This is a buffet venue for dinner, which is fine. The restaurant has a bit of an identity crisis when it comes to food choices, ranging from New England clam chowder, through Asian pork to slow roasted beef. There is a nice salad part of the buffet, as well as an ok children's section (hot dog, pizza, pasta etc) the... More

My girls face said it all :) We went to the Cinderella ball evening meal. Excellent service and we were given lots of attention- characters went round to every table and performed in character. The ugly sister and stepmother were hilarious. Prince charming and Cinderella were amazing and gorgeous. Food was really good and lots of choice for all- definitely... More

On my recent trip to Disney World, I made it a priority to eat at multiple character dining's. On my last day I had a breakfast reservation at 1900 Park Fare inside the beautiful Grand Floridian Resort. When I entered the restaurant I was greeted by polite staff and was seated immediately. Unlike most character dining's the food was spectacular.... More
