If you're looking for superb fried chicken, then this is the place! The building isn't much to look at but the chicken is simply delicious - hot, crunchy coating and succulent meat that actually tastes like chicken should!! Hard pushed to find better and it certainly beats the usual 'tourist' burgers, etc. And... it is sooo cheap! Really hope I... More

Make sure you bring cash. Credit cards are not accepted here. The food is fast & fresh. Great service too! Love it. It may not look like much but it is certainly worth going.

My friend and I always love fried chicken so we often google where to go to eat the best fried chicken. We are from Toronto Canada and we recently made a trip to New Orleans too but their fried chicken was not comparable to the fried chicken at Olde Dixie. They are simply just simple food well executed and done... More

I got told about this place via website food reviewer based in Orlando, basically was told the place served good simple fried chicken. That's what Dixe does just that the chicken is tasty and cooked well the various sides are nice too mashed potato & gravy etc. I went for the experience of going to a chicken joint that has... More

Stopped in for lunch. It wasn't very busy but it was after 1:30 so I didn't think that much about them not having a lunch crowd. The menu was simple to read and ordering was easy too. The food came out piping hot and fresh. The slaw was cold and excellent. I will definitely be back for more!!!!

I walked in this place one evening and said "which credit cards do you take?", and they said, "none-cash only". I walked out and never returned. It's the 21st century-join us!

Chicken was warmer and tasty. The coleslaw was good as well. And hour after eating it got indigestion and a bad headache. I think they put MSG on their food. Last time I felt like that was after eating Chinese with my co-workers and we all felt ill afterwards. Disappointing. Can not recommend.

Dixie chicken has been around for a very long time but I think they use the original oil to cook the chicken. Tasty but indigestion soon after.
