I would not rate this restaurant higher than 3 stars compared to restaurants in the fine dining category at Disney World. The service was good; however the "fresh buns" arrived cold and rubbery. The food was average and for that part overpriced.

Our first time at Jiko's and it won't be our last. This was our last meal of the trip and it turned out to be the absolute best of all. We had the grouper (very good), short ribs (very good), Jiko salad (good), roasted cauliflower flatbread (very good) and a cheese flatbread pizza for the young one (Via Napoli could... More

The menu is based on what one might be served while eating in Africa, the waiters / waitresses will help with recommendations. South African wines served here are priced for tourists and while these are great wines they are pricey! Many previous reviews for this restaurant reflected an above average eatery. The ambiance was certainly nice however, the food quality... More

I absolutely loved the food and extremely immersive experience. I love how Disney has put this together and definitely recommend. I loved the different flavors not to mention the exotic atmosphere and helpful service. It will set you back some Benjamins but only to be expected on Disney property. You end up not minding though because of the attention to... More

My husband & I are DVC members and always make it a point to go to Jiko each trip. Last week, we stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and friends of ours happened to be down at Disney for their first trip. We all went to dinner at Jiko together. The meal was amazing as was our waitor, Giovanni. All in... More

We sat in the wine room and had plenty of privacy. Our waiter, Lucius, was the consummate professional. While we waited for our table, the bartender in the small bar area helped us choose a wine. The wines are all African and they will let you taste any of them that they serve by the glass. I enjoyed Warwick's "The... More

Jiko is a fabulous restaurant in the Animal Kingdom lodge. I was staying off property but consider it well worth the drive in to eat here. The décor is very inviting and the layout is somewhat segregated so it feels like you're eating in a much smaller place. The service is outstanding and they have a very diverse menu. They... More

We had short ribs, lamb chops/shredded lamb shoulder seasoned, and the filet mignon. All were superb. Short ribs is favored for american palate. Cinnamon, curry and clove were common flavors. A sure hit is the mashed potatoes made with corn meal. Buttery and sweet. If you don't like exotic flavors stay with the filet mignon

Went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday while we were in Disney. Left the kids behind for the night as in my opinion this is not really a restaurant where kids will enjoy the meal (unless they are adventurous eaters). Lovely atmosphere and good service. They even give you lavender scented warm towels to cleanse your hands before your... More

Great choice of food for vegetarians and meat eaters, with lovely wine to compliment. Really liked the service and interior design, we sat in a smaller separate room which was cosy. Dave gave great service too!
