Excellent and different meal.

My wife and I enjoyed our meal at Jiko tremendously. It was our first time delecting on African cuisine and we were not disapointed. The South african wine selection was also impressive. This restaurant is located at the Animal Kingdom Lodge near the safari grounds were you can stroll at the night and see the animal graze quietly in the night at the hotel campground. Jiko serve African cuisine with a twist, although the menu isn't that exotic and go on the safe side of things it is full of delicious an... More

Made reservations at Jiko hoping to have a different experience. We did! The Animal Kingdom Lodge was packed as well as the restaurants (both Jiko and the other one) and yet we did not have to wait more than one minute for our table to be ready. Now that is good service from the beginning! The environment is excellent. My... More

Very glad to have tried Jiko on our recent Disney trip. The food was very good. We were on the WDW dining plan so we had an appetizer, main and dessert each. For the appetizer we split the pear salad and the boar; the boar was unreal! Don't miss ordering that. For the mains we had the snapper and the... More

Lovely place to eat. The beef was the most tender you could ask for. Service was excellent. Again this takes 2 dinner vouchers on the Disney dining plan. We didn't find it worth it when compared to other single voucher restaurants ie: Japan, Germany, Mama Melrose, Portobello's etc.

Just back from a wonderful meal at this Disney venue. We loved the setting and our high expectations were well met. We were seated by a pleasant young man who helped us find a table facing outside. He was very accommodating when we requested a change from a table in the back. We then encountered an excellent sever, Giovanni, who... More

Went here with my girlfriend after spending the day at Animal Kingdom. We had a couple cocktails at the bar while we waited for our table, which were pretty good, but nothing special. The room we ended up being seated in was very nice, and it seemed like overall they have their atmosphere on point. We had the Taste of... More

we loved our dinner at Jiko. I enjoyed short ribs while my hubby feasted on the fish; both were excellent. We were seated by Shellie and carried on a lovely conversation while in that process. She introduced us to Shelly, who was our server for the evening. Shelly assisted us in food and wine selection and her recommendations were spot... More

My spouse and I selected Jiko as our special night out while in Orlando and were completely satisfied with our decision. We made reservations but had to wait roughly 15 additional minutes to be seated as it was a very busy Saturday evening. As others noted, the ambiance of the dining room completely transports you to a different place out... More
