When my wife and I booked a weekend at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House), the first thing I did was reserve a table at Jiko, for dinner after our day at Animal Kingdom. We had dined there decades ago, when the lodge and restaurant first opened; and, didn't remember much about it. We had an exceptional dining experience, hosted... More

We have always enjoyed eating at Jiko's, but this past time we were not as pleased with the overall experience. Our waiter was more interested in the table with more guests and we seemed to be an after thought. The food was okay but not as wonderful as it had been. I know that anyone can have an off night,... Jiko lived up to our expectations after a long, rainy day at the Animal Kingdom. We were a bit bedraggled, but the food and service lifted our spirits. We began with a "taste of Africa," a sampling of several breads and dips from different African regions, and a very good soup. Several of the adults had grouper, which was prepared... More

Nothing spectacular. This is WDW's "Fine Dining" you know, "regular dining elsewhere, just here it's more expensive. Spend more, receive less." Not dirty but the tables weren't even disinfected, this after WDL has measles running rampant? Please people, wash/wipe your tables on which you directly place your patron's silverware."

My sister and I have eaten here several times and it continues to impress. The carrot soup is amazing. A bit on the expensive side but worth it for a special occasion if visiting Disney world. The dessert was outstanding; good service and nice wine selection.

We took the family here last night. The service was great and everybody loved their meals. The food is unique enough to be interesting but not so much as to intimidate the less brave. Jiko has certainly made my "top 5 Orlando restaurants" list.

Knew the evening would not go well when despite a booking we were handed a beeper and told to wait. The bar area was full so we just stood there for 10 minutes. Food was OK but over priced. Asked for the lamb to be medium to well done but came out bloody. We had finished our meal before the... More

This is the 2nd time we have dined at Jiko during visits to WDW. We were a little concerned that the food might not be as impressive as it was on our first visit. We were absolutely thrilled to find that the food and service were still exceptional. Everything we ate was delicious, from the duck rolls, the beet salad,... More
