Description: Charley's Steak House has created a unique dining experience unsurpassed...
Charley's Steak House has created a unique dining experience unsurpassed in the industry. The restaurant's namesake, Charley Woodsby, co-founder of the Red Lobster chain, was honored by the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006. After selling Red Lobster to General Mills in 1970, Charley and his son Ron Woodsby developed Talk of the Town Restaurants - the corporate parent to Charley's Steak House. Over the years the Woodsby's have become "beef aficionados" with a steadfast formula for success: feature only Midwest grain-fed USDA Prime & Choice beef, age on-site for 4 to 6 weeks, and have management cut meat daily and season for 30 hours to create distinctive flavor. The steak is then flame-grilled over a 1200° open pit, fueled with a combination of Florida citrus & oak wood. This carefully monitored process provides for quality, tenderness and a tantalizing taste that elevates Charley's to the ultimate steakhouse experience. Since its inception, Charley's Steak House has prided itself on being a traditional steakhouse. But with the rise in number of savvy diners came the need to evolve the definition of 'steakhouse'. Instituting a corporate chef and placing managing chefs at each location, Charley's has advanced into a traditional steakhouse with culinary flair featuring chef-driven appetizers and entrees as well as established menu items.

Wow, great beef in a real old school steakhouse, I loved it

The best steak I have had. But you pay the most for it too. An expensive meal out ($400 for six of us including a bottle of wine) but as a 'one-off' treat it was a lovely experience. A much better quality restaurant than most that are in the area and they include a steak presentation at the start so... More

I went there for my birthday. The filet mignon was scrumptious. I enjoyed the salad, bread, kale and asparagus sides. It was the best service ever thanks David A. He has the yes attitude. We were not sure about the wine list since they have a long wine list and Brian Callahan was so knowledgable;nothing better than talking to someone who... More

I have been there 4 times during business conventions. The last two times was in 2012 and this year 2015. I notice that the meat " filet mignon" is not what it used to be. More nerves and not as tender. The service was 10/10. Common guys bring back to top quality

Having visited Charley's before in 2013 we couldn't wait for our visit again this year. We arrived a little early and asked to sit in the bar area for a while - this was no problem and had a lovely quiet drink - with a very good service. We went through for our meal and were sat in a booth... More

Fracis, our server, was awesome! Made it a very personalized experience for us. Highly recommend the flit mignon and lobster mac n cheese to anyone. Appreciated that they let us dine in our casual clothes after a long day at the parks.

Service was fair, attitude was not perfect, great bread and salads, baked potato was not cooked properly, all 4 steaks were undercooked, and the flavor did not hit the spot, in my hometown I've had much better steaks at half the price, the waiter said the cows were massaged daily and listened to classical music, that sounds like a bunch... One of the best steakhouses in Orlando for sure, Charley's consistent high quality steaks are a treat. I've had them all. Literally! From the bone in ribeye, to the porterhouse, to the buffalo ribeye, the place doesn't miss. Their calamari and their scallops are simply to die for. The service is also top notch. Steak fans like me will love... More
