50's Prime Time Café serves classic American comfort food in a TV-themed setting. The restaurant sits across from Echo Lake in Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. The 50's Prime Time Café menu includes family favorites like golden fried chicken, traditional meatloaf and pot roast, cooked the way Mom used to make it—that is, if Mom were a 1950s sitcom star.Be welcomed into Mom's family and feel at home in her kitchenette. But Mom expects you to mind your manners, so don't be surprised if she tells you to keep your elbows off the table. It's all part of the old-fashioned fun and gentle ribbing that's served up along with the food.TV Tables and Tune-In LoungeFor a special treat at 50's Prime Time Café, grab a "TV Table" that seats up to 4 diners and has a television next to the table that broadcasts clips from popular prime time sitcoms circa 1955 including "Father Knows Best" and the original "Mickey Mouse Club."Bop into 50's Prime Time Café for lunch or dinner. Cocktails, wines by the glass and frosty beers are available from Mom for Guests 21 years of age and older, or relax in the Tune-In Lounge full-service bar and sip Dad's Electric Lemonade or Grandma's Picnic Punch. From the mid-50s knick-knacks and memorabilia that decorate this restaurant to the dessert menu displayed through viewfinder toys, nostalgia is the main ingredient at 50's Prime Time Café.

It all depends on your server

This is one of my son's favorite restaurants at WDW (he is 14). We have been multiple times and some times are better than others. If you have a server that is very into their role as a family member from the 50's, then it is a great experience. If you get someone that is there just as your... read more

Like going to visit my Grandmothers when I was a kid minus the chain smoking. This was a return trip for us. We went here before our kids were born then this time we went with our kids. Very fun atmosphere with rude waitstaff that make sure no elbows on the table and no cell phone use at the table.... More

We reserved a table here as part of our visit to Hollywood Studios. Sadly, we were disappointed. Despite enjoying the journey back in time and the 1950's feel of the place, the food was OVERPRICED, lacked any sort of taste, and the portions were medium at best for this price. Bottom line, we spent almost $150 to eat for 4... More

This special themed restaurant was so much fun. I loved the retro decor. They have a gluten free menu that is not limited and I really enjoyed my meal although I thought the milk shake was a bit too sweet. Not a problem. I just won't order it the next time I go. There will be a next time for... More

This can be a hit or miss. Depending on who your server is and how well they play the role is key. Luckily we had a good one. Ask to be seated in the kitchen setting otherwise you will just be at a regular table. The food was very good. I'm not a big fan of pot roast but this... More

Visited Hollywood Studios today with my daughter. I had prebooked the 50s Prime Time Cafe prior to coming to Disney. I booked for 6:45 pm. We checked in around 6:30. At 6:45 I go up to the desk to see where they are at with calling us. Told we are "in the 6:45 cue" whatever that means. Go back at... More

Growing up, the 50s Prime Time Cafe was always one of my family's "must do" restaurants every time we visited Disney World. This year, my husband and I brought our kids to Disney World for the first time, and we were very excited to have them experience the 50s Prime Time Cafe. Not only was the entertainment aspect pretty much... More

Our friends were visiting from Wisconsin and thought that we would take them to the Prime Time Cafe at Hollywood Studios at Disney. What happened? This used to be Mom in 'pearls' a kitschy fun nod to Leave it to Beaver and Donna Reed... The food was secondary... My husband and I didn't even fuss that so much of our hard earned money was expended (he was in the military back then) to be able to go... So, after talking it up and... More
