50's Prime Time Café serves classic American comfort food in a TV-themed setting. The restaurant sits across from Echo Lake in Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. The 50's Prime Time Café menu includes family favorites like golden fried chicken, traditional meatloaf and pot roast, cooked the way Mom used to make it—that is, if Mom were a 1950s sitcom star.Be welcomed into Mom's family and feel at home in her kitchenette. But Mom expects you to mind your manners, so don't be surprised if she tells you to keep your elbows off the table. It's all part of the old-fashioned fun and gentle ribbing that's served up along with the food.TV Tables and Tune-In LoungeFor a special treat at 50's Prime Time Café, grab a "TV Table" that seats up to 4 diners and has a television next to the table that broadcasts clips from popular prime time sitcoms circa 1955 including "Father Knows Best" and the original "Mickey Mouse Club."Bop into 50's Prime Time Café for lunch or dinner. Cocktails, wines by the glass and frosty beers are available from Mom for Guests 21 years of age and older, or relax in the Tune-In Lounge full-service bar and sip Dad's Electric Lemonade or Grandma's Picnic Punch. From the mid-50s knick-knacks and memorabilia that decorate this restaurant to the dessert menu displayed through viewfinder toys, nostalgia is the main ingredient at 50's Prime Time Café.

Dinner and a show

To get your money's worth, you have to know what you want from this restaurant. The food quality varies widely. At times, I've had the best pot roast ever at the 50s PTC. Other times, it's been merely average. The food has never been bad, and that's worth something. My guess is that they have... read more

We dinned here in April 2015, family of 4 with a 6 and 4 year old. We booked in advance and were seated within 10 minutes. That was about the best thing I could say about our experience. Our waiter was dull, very dull. Once we ordered our food came out in about 10-15 minutes which really made me wonder... More

A must for anyone going to disneyworld. It was the best food we had in quite a few of the disney restaurants we sampled throughout our vacation, very homey and full of little tweaks (those little drinks with lights looked super fun though we did not order alcohol and the deserts mouthwatering). Above all however was the playfulness of the... More

We had a great evening meal in this 50s themed restaurant and loved taking our grandchildren to dine in a place where all the rules of our time were in place. It was a great experience for the children, seeing and hearing the cast members in their role as 1950s parents. We loved the old fashioned food offerings and the... More

This was our third visit to 50s Prime Time. We had a large party with us and it took some time before we were seated, even though we had reservations. That was the worst part of our experience. Outside of that, the food was delicious! It is a themed restaurant and the wait staff plays certain "characters" from the 1950s.... More

You start off in a waiting area decorated like a 1950's living room and eat in a 1950's kitchen. Mom is cooking your food in the kitchen and you're told to "eat your vegetables" and "get your elbows off the table" in a fun, sibling type of way. All the customers seemed to be having fun interacting with the servers.... More

We had an ADR for lunch, we were sat 15 mins after our time. Once sat service was very good. The milk shakes were very good, I loved the peanut butter & jelly shake. Portion sizes were far too big for lunch, food was very good between us we had the meatloaf, chicken & pot roast. All 3 were very... More

We arrived a half hour early for our reservation. They did not guarantee us early seating, but we got a table about 15 minutes early. The restaurant was nicely themed with item reminiscent of the 50's -- laminate and chrome tables and chairs, country themes, old fashioned tvs, etc. The waitstaff was dressed in the white waitress dresses with aprons.... I have been to Disney World 3 times now and the 50's Prime Time Cafe is always a food highlight of the trip. The decor is amazing and the servers really play up their roles to make it feel like you are right at home. Be sure to get Aunt Liz's golden fried chicken. It is truly the best fried... More

This place is like stepping into the late 50s or early 60s. The furniture and decorations will take you back. The waiters play it up too. It's all comfort food like meatloaf, pot roast and fried chicken. The one drawback is the steep price - roughly at least double for what you would pay for the same meal at a... More
