50's Prime Time Café serves classic American comfort food in a TV-themed setting. The restaurant sits across from Echo Lake in Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. The 50's Prime Time Café menu includes family favorites like golden fried chicken, traditional meatloaf and pot roast, cooked the way Mom used to make it—that is, if Mom were a 1950s sitcom star.Be welcomed into Mom's family and feel at home in her kitchenette. But Mom expects you to mind your manners, so don't be surprised if she tells you to keep your elbows off the table. It's all part of the old-fashioned fun and gentle ribbing that's served up along with the food.TV Tables and Tune-In LoungeFor a special treat at 50's Prime Time Café, grab a "TV Table" that seats up to 4 diners and has a television next to the table that broadcasts clips from popular prime time sitcoms circa 1955 including "Father Knows Best" and the original "Mickey Mouse Club."Bop into 50's Prime Time Café for lunch or dinner. Cocktails, wines by the glass and frosty beers are available from Mom for Guests 21 years of age and older, or relax in the Tune-In Lounge full-service bar and sip Dad's Electric Lemonade or Grandma's Picnic Punch. From the mid-50s knick-knacks and memorabilia that decorate this restaurant to the dessert menu displayed through viewfinder toys, nostalgia is the main ingredient at 50's Prime Time Café.

Fun

We enjoyed listening to the waiters give the people a rough time. That's what this place is known for. All four of us had a chocolate malt that was to die for. Food was good and homey. We had a reservation and if you decide to go there, you will need one just so you don't stand in line forever.

The food here isn't high brow in any way. Just good home cookin'. We LOVED the fried chicken. Many in our group had the milkshakes, and they said they were great. Our server, Mary Ann, was delightful and funny. She told many of the same jokes a couple of times. We didn't know if that was part of the act,... More

We have eaten here several times and always find it a fun place. The wait was long but we did not have reservations. I had the pot today which was excellent. I highly recommend this unique diner.

This was a very fun, retro lunch experience, with food from "mama's" kitchen and waiters who tell you to set the table, eat your vegetables, and take your elbows off the table. There are 50s accessories throughout the restaurant. We had a reservation and were seated within minutes. It's busy and loud, but we loved it. Food was wonderful. Would... More

My past trip to Disney with the family was great one, and one of our highlights was our visit to this restaurant!!! We had to wait a bit for our table, and the waiting area was quite loud. The staff that holler your name may seem a bit frightening to some, but are really kind. As you are seated you... More

We ate here during our visit for lunch. The waiters and waitresses were great, tongue in cheek humor and the décor took you right back to the 50's. We got a milk shake and it was huge!! and delicious. We had a lot of fun eating here, the food was good too. We had pot pie, fried chicken and salad.... More

Had 1:20 pm reservations. Had to wait about 20 minutes or so. Had a great time and great waiter (Byron). He was so funny. He did embarrass me (in front of all customers in the immediate area) because I didn't eat my vegetables. He actually put the veggies on my fork and played choo-choo with it. I did eat it,... More

My wife, my kids, and I ate here on our recent disney trip and it was excellent. It was a welcomed "home style" meal. I had the sampler and my wife had the meatloaf. Are plates were empty within 15 minutes it was awesome. Gonna go back next trip.

This is an amazing restaurant. When you walk in it feels like you are stepping back into the 50s. The service is awsome, and while you are waiting for your food, you will never be board. The value is good it is a little pricey, but it is not bad at all. The food looks great, tastes great, and it... More

We enjoyed the decor and remembering homes that had similar items when we were children. My daughter and I split the fried chicken, we enjoyed it and it was plenty for us both. My husband got the trio (fried chicken, meatloaf and beef stew). All were good, but probably would not repeat that choice. The Beef Stew at Magic Kingdom... More
